  1. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O5dFgez6nGo Our lad just made that on Wilson
  2. Wrong. The B teams would be replace the U21 sides. So as I said where are they going to be hoarding more players? Manchester United have 25 players in their U21 side, those 25 would be the B team.
  3. Let's not let Con cloud our judgement of a player. As a regular follower of United's youth side I will say he is up in the bracket of Januzaj and Pogba in recent times. He has consistently bagged loads of goals this year in the U18, u19, u21 and now the first team. This is the biggest aspect for him, he is consistent in his goalscoring. He can create chances from nothing, take players on, shoot from anywhere with great accuracy, and great pace to get in behind the defenders. He is an all around striker and reminds me of a mix of Michael Owen, Alan Shearer and Van Persie. There are loads of videos of him out there if you are interested. I am as sure of him making it as I was sure of Januzaj making it last year.
  4. Why are they needing to make up numbers? I'll use Manchester United as an example as I am a supporter of them and know their youth setup. Currently there is 25 players in the U21 squad. Those 25 players would be with the B team minus a few who would need a higher level loan plus a few u18s that aren't on the U21 list but of the required level like Josh Harrop and Sean Goss. There would be no extra hoarding of young players as they already have loads of young players to fill the B team. It would just be placing the U21 teams into a lower league. If Chelsea / City wanted Samir or Grealish they would have signed them to make up the numbers in their U21 side. I'm all for it. In the first half of the season there were players at United like Ben Pearson and the other u19s averaging 1 match a month. There simply isn't enough playing time for the lads and a full season against proper teams would be massive for the development of players in England.
  5. Not sure if serious? They may as well have hired the cast of The Inbetweeners for the final 4games of the season - they're all gone afterwards. No they aren't. Nicky Butt was the U19 manager and reserve assistant for the second half of this season. There is no reason for him to lose his spot there. It is likely positions will be made available for Scholes, Giggs and Phil. Fergie and the board are reported to wanted Giggs as assistant and have him take over in a few years. I mean that all four will be relieved of their first team duties next season. The board will take more control over the hiring of the next manager I'm sure - and won't be relying on Fergie's recommendations after Moyes. A new manager would bring his own first team staff I'm certain. That said, I still acknowledge that Giggs will always be part of United in some capacity. Van Gaal is meant to not bring around that many staff with him and likes to keep some staff that know the club which would likely be Giggs and Scholes. Butt will keep on his youth role and Phil will find something to do. One of the big mistakes it is felt around the club is that they let Moyes change the whole coaching staff. They don't want to do that again.

  7. It is believed that there was a clause in his contract that if fail to make CL he is paid off 1 year where as if CL still possible as would have been in January then it is a 4 year payoff. Some believe his sacking has been in the plans since the first Olympiakos match and it was just waiting to be sure impossible to make CL so it is a lower payoff.
  8. What would you guys think of Moyes considering how well he did at Everton?
  9. There is a video on youtube Poccetino speaking English at an awards ceremony. Would you take Moyes at Villa?
  10. That's bloody shocking treatment. There should be regular contact with any player on loan to see how they are doing, give advice etc. Just sending a lad off and not giving much of a **** is no way to be bringing through youth players.
  11. Anyone got a link for the match? None that I find are working.
  12. Osorio has been great. Wouldn't be surprised to see him going over to Europe in a year or two. Can't believe he has done so well actually. I've played against his younger brother a few times who is now down in Uruguay. It is great to see some of the talent around here actually getting the chance.
  13. Seen an article that said Jack used to play the GAA and got a point at Croker. Niiiiiiiiiice.
  14. And why the **** would United do that? There is far from any guarantee of making top 4 next year, why would you give up another chance to make Champions League? If anything EL is easier to win then making top 4. It would be an absolute shambles if any club refused to play in EL let alone United. United play in CL every year and have a massive squad which is clearly capable of competing in EL. There would be absolutely no explanation for refusing to play in it.
  15. There's an article on the BBC site about it, I think this is my favourite part: Say no more. Well, Karl Willetts and Baz from mighty Bolt Thrower are also their fans You are all missing Mike Skinner. Who tbf to City is the best of the lot.
  16. No. A return flight from NY to LA would be at least $500. You would have to be fecking loaded to be doing that to watch a football match. I live in Toronto and go to the occasional Toronto FC match and the only match I can remember any significant amount of away fans was against Montreal. That would be the closest team and that is about 550km. There was maybe 100-150 of them in the corner. It simply isn't possible to be an away fan in North America. To go to an away match would require saving and a big thing like for an English fan going to an away match in the CL.
  17. Did Paul Lambert ever give a reason for outcasting Shay like this? It makes no sense to me. Why would you just cast aside a good experienced keeper who you are still paying? I understand wanting to get rid of his big wages but why not use him now that he stayed. Does Shay even train with the first team? Does he even train at all?
  18. What is there to hate about Shane Long other than he plays for your rivals? One of my favourite players and that first goal today was pure class. The second not half bad either. He is a really nice lad and works his arse off. Great playing as a lone striker and thats 4 goals in the last few weeks. Hopefully he can get into a run of form and produce the goods. Just a good old Tip man.
  19. Januzaj. Seen all sorts of shite spelling of it. I don't know whats so hard about knowing how to spell names.
  20. Januzaj is better than Kagawa out the left.
  21. words removed like Eamon Dunphy are a cancer to Irish football.
  22. I think Cleverley is certain to play. Neither Jones or Fellaini are strong enough on the ball to play in the middle together. Cleverley adds great mobility and is good at keeping possession with quick 1-2 balls. Personally I would have Cleverley and Jones in the midfield as Cleverley also thrives off have mobility around him. Fellaini is just too slow on and off the ball and shows no urgency to get the ball moving. Slows the tempo down completely and stunts the whole play. Cleverley's movement is vital to United's play and even his off the ball runs open up space for the front four to attack. Something which Fellaini doesn't offer.
  23. Surely they can't declare for them, as they have already played competitive games for Switzerland? Or will some special rule enacted? They can declare for Kosovo since when they began their career Kosovo wasn't an option. this completely, you know it's a slow news week when this is big news. Also imagine if Jack Grealish scored two goals against Sunderland for us... would it have received the same amount of coverage?? IMO someone high up at OT with friends in the press is pushing this story because it gives Man United some decent press for the first time in a while. It is highly unlikely he will be 'another Macheda'. Macheda was never as dominant at youth and reserve level as Januzaj. This time last year he was still with the U18s. When he got promoted to reserves he instantly became the star player. He won reserve player of the year while still being eligible for the U18s which doesn't happen often. He even adapted to playing a false 9 role because there were no strikers in the reserve squad and he was able to still looking convincing. In the finals Kaboul was all over him trying to physically beat him out of the match but Januzaj took it in stride and wasn't phased. That same effortless step-up from youth to reserves is how he has moved up the the first team. Again he has stepped in and became a star player. He was great during pre-season and even in his short cameos in the league so far he has been our most impressive player out the left side. I'm a big fan of Grealish but Januzaj is a much bigger talent. He dominated the reserve league and got the golden ball at the blue stars youth tournament last year and well of course playing for the Premier League champions is going to get more coverage. I definitely would not be calling this all good press either. A large amount of the reports on Januzaj are how is contract is running out and he is going to leave us like Pogba and that United can't hold on to any of their talented young players anymore.
  24. He is a very focused determined player and as United supporter I am quite glad that he is putting United first before even considering his international career. Unfortunately though he still needs to sign a new contract. Hopefully it is wrapped up soon. As for his dad where have you heard he is a bellend? Everything I have heard about him is he is the reason he is putting his club career first and making sure he can get a first team spot. He is why Januzaj chose United over Barca in the first place because he thought it was the best place for him to come through. If he is then he not thinking about his son. Play for Albania or be part of something special with Belgium? International football is not just about playing for the better team. Kosovans are very nationalistic so it would not be surprising if he was raised very Kosovan. Many Kosovans were forced to leave because of the war and not because they want to. They are very proud of their heritage and always identify with it. It is not even that long since they started marrying non-Kosovans. Whether Januzaj ends up playing for Albania, Kosovo or Belgium it is unfair to his father to say he isn't thinking about his son.
