  1. A whole host of DJ's performing live on YouTube and Facebook from Defected on Friday. Glitterbox Virtual Festival. Starts from 2pm through to 10pm
  2. Not quite Villa Park but certainly a part of the fabric.
  3. Article makes complete sense but even August could be a push. I pmsl when i saw this picture in the article.
  4. So that's now France, Belgium and Holland. One by one they are starting to fall to the inevitability of it all. I Fail so see how any country can start to play football when there are still so many deaths and the various countries health organisations still under incredible strain. Social distancing will be in place. How can that be achieved in football? And then if somehow it was allowed what about players sweating rubbing on one another let alone when they all spit everywhere. Then you have the natural instinct of a goal being scored and players clambering all over one another in celebration. Even if some of the lockdown restrictions are eased we are bound to remain in a situation of social distancing and football returns even if it's behind closed doors what message will that send to everyone? You will have groups up and down the country having a kickabout at the park etc. Plod comes along to break it up because they are not social distancing and all they have to say is ''well it's ok for the professionals to do it why not me''? Good luck with that then !!!! Not to mention any possibility of a 2nd wave of infections......
  5. There is also one here https://www.winchester-cathedral.org.uk/the-peregrines-return-in-2020/ Picture is not brilliant though.... I didn't realise Peregrine's were the religious type !!!!
  6. Michael Robinson, 61. The Big C
  7. Now it's spring that's a great time to get up and go for a early morning walk. Walk to somewhere where you can see the sun come up. You will also hear all the birds singing and coming to life. it's sensational and the real big bonus is there's nobody else about. If it's not your thing give it a go just to admire mother nature.
  8. dont give a shit......i won't be here.... but i would like to think that Villa have won the Premier League for the 18th season in a row
  9. @Spoony Thanks for this. It had been that long i'd forgotten i posted it !!!! Up to now i had not done anything about it, so i have avoided the recent falls in value. I understand exactly where you are coming from and appreciate sharing your experience and yes, there is risk associated but there are also opportunities. I Have signed up with iWeb as its cheap to trade. £25 to join the £5 per trade. I have opened up a S&S ISA so i have taken the plunge. I will also be investing in Low Cost Index Funds. My intention is to build a smallish portfolio with established companies taking advantage of the fall in share prices. History tells us that the footsie will recover and prices will go higher again once this madness is over. I see this as a 5 year plan to get a better return from my money than it sitting in a bank.
  10. @newhavenhibby @Paddywhack @Dave1 I Was there for the last day. My overriding memories were not of the match but at the end of the game. It was a party mood and fans just started smashing the place up to get whatever piece of the Holte they could. It was quite surreal to see people walking down Witton Lane with big 'Gents' and 'Exit' signs that had been torn down. Even pieces of concrete terracing were smashed up, although lord knows how this was managed. Fans were trying to get there hands on anything. In the Early days of the Holte the centre gangway was not there as they were put in place, from memory, for safety. There were two groups of fans/singers at the back of the Holte. I remember the song sung between the two, ''The Left side' and 'The right side'. It sure was a great place.
  11. Holte Ends last stand. Saturday 7th May 1994. credit Twitter and Brummie photography
  12. On Friday night at 7.30 there is a live show on YouTube from The Ambassadors Theatre All or Nothing The Mod Musical. Got lots of good reviews.
  13. Marvellous. Full film is free on youtube. It's also on Amazon Prime. It was originally shown on BBC back in 2014. (i've searched in here and can't find any mention of it) A brilliant film and well worth watching. A true story. Toby Jones plays Neil Baldwin who became the kitman for Stoke City.

  19. Having googled it i quite fancy watching this. When and where is it on? I've trawled the tv pages and not come across it.......help !!!!!!!!!! Edit: I do wish people who post films they have watched, rate etc would state where it is on, Netflix, Sky, Amazon etc.....it really would be a big help PS; this is a general moan/winge/request....not poster specific....
  20. @Troglodyte tape it and watch it with her, if she does not like it watch it on your own. If nothing else it's a good football history lesson, although in reality it's a lot more than that. As a football fan you will not be disappointed. @Phil Silvers Indeed, a most underrated actor who really gets into character like no one else.
  21. or might get your house burned to the ground !!!!!!!!
