  1. Just finished watching this and yes, very powerful and indeed very sad. Quite unbelievable that somebody could be locked up for 3 years without being convicted. It beggars belief. ''The Kalief Browder Story is a documentary series about a 16 year-old student from the Bronx who spent three years on Rikers Island without ever being convicted of a crime'' Well worth watching.
  2. Why is'nt Mike Bassett on the list ?
  3. done well for where he is but expectations are somewhat different at Bournemouth. It is an absolute inevitability they would get relegated at some time or another. They are prime candidates to for successive relegations.
  4. half an hour to go....has to be more manure goals in this surely.
  5. wtf.....got Man U in a bet today on 4 teams both to score no thinking Bournemouth would not score....... i will now be happy to lose my £10 for Manure to get two and win
  6. Nyland really is'nt very good at all. A liability with at least one mistake every game and i'm sure the defense have no confidence in him He needs dropping to the bench.
  7. I’m afraid to say I don’t think we have a cat in hells chance !!!!
  8. So, this is the first time Liverpool play at home since clinching the title. How many fans are going to turn up and party outside the ground and create some sort of an atmosphere? Some fireworks were let off 10 mins into last nights game with City, we can only assume these were let off by Liverpool fans. I can see a fair few fans turning up at Anfield and more fireworks being let off, both off and on the pitch, but sadly not by us. They just will not be able to stop themselves from continuing the celebrations and in all honesty you can't really blame them.
  9. if we get relegated i'll see you in a few years then when you come back and follow us again as soon as we are promoted. appears to me you are in the wrong forum if you can't follow your team through the bad times as well as the good !!!!!
  10. Bizzare post... i could never imagine being pleased at not being able to watch my team no matter what division they are in.
  11. I admire your optimism but i can't see us getting that many let alone keeping a clean sheet !!!!!!!!
  12. As much as i would like to see a change, i think you are right, we will stick with Dean regardless. You don't give a manager a new 4 year contract and the dump him. One thing for sure is we are going to be in the Championship next season. Dean may well be the man to get us back in the Prem at the first time of asking who knows. But what i do know, in my mind anyhow, is he is not the right person to take us forward to where we all want to be. Dean is a nice guy. One day he will get the sack, it's inevitable, and when he does he will probably get another crack at management at the likes of Preston, Huddersfield, Reading etc (no disrespect). It's unlikely he'll be offered a job at any of the top Prem clubs. I have said previousley all of the top clubs have top managers. Thats one of the reasons they are top clubs. All of the new money clubs were ruthless in getting top managers. If it did'nt work they were shipped out and replaced. Until we get a high claibre manager that can come in with a blueprint we will be forever on the merry-go-round. Whenever it is, the next managerial appointment will define our owners intent and path. It is probably our most crucial decision in ages.
  13. He is lucky the games are being played behind closed doors. In a packed house he would be getting some right stick now and the booing would have been deafening. On top of that, if the players have any confidence left (big if) it would have been shot by now.
  14. Luiz was very naive with the goal we conceded and how he handled Traore in the build up. He should have fouled him, took a booking instead of letting him skip past him. If he fouls him in that situation they don't score. Thats the difference and thats what happens when Jack gets the ball in dangerous positions.
  15. I’m fed up... of this team and the BT commentary wankfest
  16. Murder in the car park - Channel 4 March 1987, a man lies dead in a south London pub car park, an axe in his head. This true crime docudrama series examines the still unsolved murder of private detective Daniel Morgan. 3 episodes. Examining the unsolved murder of private detective Daniel Morgan, a murder inquiry that has lasted 33 years, and cost £30 million, but has failed to convict anyone. For the first time ever Morgan's business partner, Jonathan Rees, ex-Metropolitan police detective Sid Fillery and Rees' former brother-in-law Glenn Vian collectively give their accounts from the time of the murder and the years that followed.
  17. I would like to see Vassilev get some sort of game time either as a starter or come on as a sub at the customary 70min mark. We don't have anyone with any real pace in the team. He could give us that. I appreciate it's a big step up and a gamble but at this stage of the season i think it's a gamble worth taking. He can't be any worse than El Ghazi or Trezeguet.
  18. As the old 80's/90's song goes What a 'fookin shithole''
  19. I am disappointed with the owners and with the trust they have put in place with Purslow. With Dean Smith we had the right man to lift the club from where we were dithering around in the championship to get promotion to the premiership. He was the right man for all of the reasons we know about, Villa supporter etc giving a connection with the club to the fans. It was perfect. We all know the owners are very very wealthy, however, if the owners are as serious as they say about taking us to the next level then Dean Smith is not the manager to take us there. It should have been thank you Dean, promotion and job done. Here's a pay off as a thank you and good luck for the future. If not at the start of the season then at least at Christmas, but hell what do we do, give him a stonking new four year contract !!!!! Purslow should have gone out to get a manager who could take us to that level. I don't know who, but then it's not my job is it. All of the teams at the top have gone out and got the top managers. The clubs with new money have done it. Dean is a nice guy, he is not the type of manager to take us to the level we all desire.
  20. Championship player scores against a championship team
