If he wants to stay and help bring us back, I would be more than happy! If he thinks he is bigger and better than us, then he can sod off, but I would want more than 5m and a sizeable sell on fee. -
Lewis Dunk would be a great purchase in the summer and possible captain material as well.

Personally, I still think there is a player in there, but doubt now that we are ever going to see it consistently, especially in the Chamionship. Best for both parties if he goes I think, but I'm sure he will blossom somewhere and we will hear about it.

For starters in the summer, we desperately need to sign our new captain and get them in quick so they can be a good influence on the training ground! Not really sure who but someone in the mould of a Gareth Barry would be good. Then we need to build a team with some of the best players from the lower leagues, supplemented by some experience. Here's a few suggestions - David Marshall, Charlie Adam, Liam Bridcutt, Bradley Johnson, Dwight Gayle, Nathan Redmond, Matt Phillips, Lewis Dunk, Joe Mason, Lewis Joao, Rico Henry.

Just got in from work and read the open letter - how fantastic is that! Very well done to all the guys who have had input here. Just makes me more determined to walk out again this weekend. Serious question, how realistic would it be for a couple of you guys having a private meeting with one or two from the board? Really believe some valid points have been made and can see no reason why this can't be backed up with a meeting? An offer could at least be made from our side don't you think? OTDO74.

Completely agree DC and can only assume that it is because they are the most experienced and/or biggest influence on the rest? Maybe nobody else in the squad has the stomach for it? Doesn't make it right though and Garde should just convince someone else to take it, even if it does mean ruffling a few feathers.

Quite simply our best defender and fitness permitting, has to start every game. However, he does appear to be getting worse on the ball, but that could be the crap around him not helping?

I am not one for sacking Garde with 9 games to go, but if I was told at work tomorrow that he had walked I wouldn't be too disappointed. Still think there is a real good manager in there but everything seems to have transpired against him being successful here.

Absolutely this! I too watched in amazement at that footage last night. 2,3,4 players just standing watching City build up towards our box - Scandalous! If I was Garde I would make the first team watch it over and over tomorrow, but doubt they would even care. Club captain and team captain are just anything but and now need to sit in the stands!

The senior figures in the squad need to be removed either now or in the summer. In any walk of life, it's the senior figures that influence the rest. Replace these 3,4,5 with a new captain and possibly 1 or 2 new senior figures with the right attitude/mentality, then the training ground will be a better place in my opinion. As an example, imagine having Gareth Barry again around the squad next season! I don't for one minute think he would want to come back but there must be 1 or 2 out there that would fit the mould!
