  1. The only way this could be positive is if they have a ready suitor available to sign tomorrow with a list of players already contacted to sign in January. Unforunately we are between a rock and a hard place, I suppose if we can get the right manager who can make our current team perform better that would help too. But who the hell is that going to be? Exactly
  2. You're assuming that these players won't perform for anyone but MON and that's just ridiculous. Put the right man in charge and you'll see improvements. No i'm not i'm just saying that the players will be the same ones who are currently acting up. Unlike someone on VT to read too much into something or put words in someone elses mouth.
  3. It gives us a chance to have a say in our fate. Houllier has shown nothing to say he can do better. We can bring in someone who has something that says they can. Sorry but the club shouldnt be run on what the fans say because the fans never say the same thing. Houllier is struggling granted but when I hear Jol been mentioned or Benitez who have both just torn apart two very good teams its laughable. It would take a couple of weeks to bring someone else in who would then need to assess the squad, any addition of new players would be rushed through. At least this way of keeping Houllier players have been targeted, the squad seems to have gone through the disharmony stage with only Carew, Ireland and Warnock excluded. I do not believe we will go down. The summer is then the time to reassess this situation and maybe then bring someone else in. To bring someone else in now is a far greater risk especially with the available candidates and the close of the window would be near. Also remember this mess is not just Houlliers fault, its the players, the board and the fickle negative villa fans who love a boo (wolves last year) and a moan.
  4. Surely if we sack Houllier and bring a new manager, with little time to buy anyone, who will still have the same MON loving players as Houllier, make them stop **** around in training and keep us up is also built on nothing but hope?
  5. This mess isnt just Houlliers fault it is everyones connected with the club. Houllier has mades errors in tactics and trying to change too much too soon The players arent playing well and its all very well having a good motivator at the helm but if your form is poor then your form is poor. How can you blame the manager for Heskey missing from 2 yards and Ashley Young never missing the first person on a cross, or not controlling a through ball from NRC when thorugh on goal. The players have acted like spoilt kids during the last month or so, whether thats because of Houllier being and idiot or not their attitude has been poor. The board have messed up by giving MON too much control over the club and now we have too many high earning average players. The fans are also to blame the atmosphere at Villa park is sometimes like a boiling pot, the moans and groans come out too often too quick and this reverberates round the ground and I cant imagine its ideal for the players to play in and probably gives the away players a lift. If we get rid now, it would take a couple of weeks to reappoint, that would leave little time to assess the squad for the new manager and bring in new players it would be a rush. And what if the wrong man came in again we would certainly be **** then. I say let him bring in a few players, £15m will not break our bank whatever anyone thinks, I think we'd have enough to stay up and then at the end of the season the whole situation should be reassessed. But sadly we are in a mess.
  6. Did well today, feel more happy with at LB than CB, just dont think he has the physical strength to be a CB at the moment.
  7. You know when you feel resistance youre meant to stop pushing the ear bud
  8. from his own pocket? yes, although it might have been more tongue in cheek than anything. Tongue on cheek yes but insinuates that he was happy with the players for what they did
  9. Houllier has said that he would pay the fine the club will get for picking up over six yellows in a match.
  10. Houllier has lost the dressing room, the players showed no commitment, no passion and no desire, Randy the same he couldnt care less about this club. To only get a draw at the home of the champions of England after going behind twice is poor. And what was Houllier playing at for their penalty?
  11. if its true then he should be sectioned for his own safety, but i doubt its true, arguing about pool table tops ffs, that is is first class bullshit
  12. Ahh Neil Moxley the oracle of football and another mountain maker. Actually Moxley has as Gazton says been very much on the inside track at Villa the last year or so. Some journo's are favoured by Lerner and get stuff that others don't based on trust. NM was seen as possibly the most trusted Didnt say anything different and doesnt change my post - actually.
  13. Ahh Neil Moxley the oracle of football and another mountain maker.
  14. Its not damming at all, a very over the top view point, he said he wouldnt play him in a certain position, big deal. And whether he is to leave or not Houlliers comments however "damming" they are will not effect his transfer value. Managers have their own mind and will already have a view point on him. Fergie, Hughes and Hodgson all like him and if Houllier said "i hate hate him I wish he were dead" they wouldnt care, if he said "Ireland is shit and lazy" they wouldnt care and if god forbid he turned around and said the worst thing of all "im not stupid I wont play him there again" guess what they wouldnt care.
  15. This whole Ireland saga is going well over the top. He is seen to some as a hate figure, when apart from a nightclub visit and a few average performances he's not really done anything. Then the Houlliers comments, FFS get a grip guys he's hardly said anything worth worrying about either. So he said he wont pick him in that position again, oh no how will Aston Villa continue how will Ireland cope. And if Houllier is as mental as some people think do you really think other managers are going to be put off by him saying things, of course they arent. They either want to take Ireland or they dont, they dont suddenly think oooh Gerard has said he doesnt play well there or he hasnt fitted in at Villa he wont fit in here. They have their own mind and if they want him then they will pay the asking price, which wont go down just because of a nothing comments rightly or wrongly made by Houllier. Theres often the argument that the modern football player has gone soft and the game isnt as hard as it used to be well you could attribute that softness to some supporters as well.
  16. Yes he's joking, Sky continually make him about to walk on water and the other day someone actually said he was up there with Messi.
  17. And doesnt harm to have someone with a throw like that in your team
  18. If this turns out to be true then my confidence in GH has gone a little further south
  19. Very much this, although no matter who we bring in some will be unhappy, i'm sure someone was moaning about the possibilty of overseas players coming in!
  20. Exactly and although Liverpool isnt the furthest away it was on a Monday night I bet you got back quite late as well.
  21. The other thing he did was get someone else to do the written part of his driving test Very exciting player with an end product would love him at Villa.
