Not the greatest game and not the greatest display but on another day we would of won it and Gabby would of put that chance away at the end. Yes it would be nice to have better strikers so those sort of misses are rarer but really that would only slightly mask the bigger problem. The biggest problem we have is Martins lack of bottle to do anything that constitutes a change from the norm. This is what many of us have been saying for some time and why he is not the man to take us into the top four. Like others have pointed out Petrov and especially Milner were shattered Delph or Delf would of been something to give us change and perhaps a bit more energy and if it hadnt worked and we'd lost I imagine people would be more accepting of that as at least he did something. To do nothing is so frustrating and negative it doesnt inspire and to get into that top four you need that bit extra but to be honest its not rocket science, most of us on here and at the ground were crying out for a sub so why couldnt O'neill see or do it. The crappy thing is these are separate friends who dont know each other yet have heard this doing the rounds. For the umpteenth time, it's not just about one game. What about all the games before when we played some fantastic football? 7 Away wins on the bounce. This all proves to me that MON and the squad have it in them to turn things around. It was not just because of Laursen and Barry. that run came off the back of playing 451 which MON was forced into playing because of injuries not because he's a tactical genius. He then buys the worst goals to games ratio striker ever reverts back to a 442 we then become terrible and yet he still persists. So yes we have some players to turn it around as long as the right team and formation is picked but unfortunately we dont have the right manager to do that. Dont think the two goals yesterday would have been much different with Laursen but our over all play was greatly effected without Barry who looked class for City. I'm so fed up with the obvious mistakes O'neill makes its making following Villa difficult. I think had the whole 451 one thing not happened last season and fourth wasnt there for the taking then maybe I wouldnt be that bothered right now but it seems the last 18 games have been such a monumental **** up and weve seemingly gone from top four to bottom four its hard to back MON.

Why do people keep saying all this reaction after one game, its not just ONE game its 2 wins in 17, its a slump of relegation proportions, its a carry on from last season coupled with a very frustrating transfer window. People saying the window is still open is total shit as the season began today not **** September. How people can defend MON defies believe. Forget some of the small questionable decisions like should NRC play, Delph play, Albrighton play etc there is only one decision you need to remember this is the man who signed Emile Heskey and adapts a winning top four team to accommodate him and not coincidentally we are then total shit yet still persists. MON you are a funny, decent guy but you will never get my team into the top four. You dont take cup competitions seriously, and you have one seriously shit transfer policy. Two top six finishes whoop di do with that much cash spent so you should minimum.
