So nothing happened at the team bonding event? And they werent fined. They have also been mentioned as the ones turning up late for training. As for Warnock I have no reason to doubt what MM said and I have seen Warnock play for the reseves and his attitude was poor to say the least. Like I said pre october - I had no knowledge of these players being troublemakers. The way people are going about these you would think they were real bad apples - like lee Bowyer, Joey Barton etc - not just players who turn up late for training - which any manager worth his salt would stamp on anyway. Think I'm not making what I meant clear enough. I'm not saying there was trouble when he first joined which I guess is why you keep mentioning pre october. When I mentioned he might not gain players respect it was just a peronal opinion because I dont think GH cuts a very commanding figure and may not get players on side quickly. This is reflected in our performances early on. I mentioned trouble makers because someone else mentioned about Van Gaal being strict and it wouldnt go down well and I was pointing out that some of these players that could make a fuss wouldnt be here. However, just because the players arent found punching people in the face in public, doesnt mean they arent bad apples and many on here would agree we do have some within the club.

Dunne, Collins, Warnock all known problem makers will likely be out of VP this summer. Van Gaal strikes me as someone with a little more aura about him than GH. To me Houllier, although I am told doesnt suffer fools gladly, has a very unauthorative demeanour that in the first instance might cause him to not gain the respect of the players. Van Gaal, looks like someone that players would take notice off straight away.

He's also made decisions in the last 12 months that have seen us drop back to the same position we were in when he took over. I'm no business expert but it can't be a good thing if you buy a company that is performing badly and spend millions and millions investing in it and then 5 years later you're back in the same position. I'm not a business expert either but I am imagine for the price he paid for Villa its worth a lot more now. Also the property that is attributed to Villa Park in the surrounding area is worth a small fortune in itself and wasnt reflected in the price he paid for it. Furthermore the difference in finishing 6th and 14th is around 7m, if the wage bill has been reduced by 100k per week this season and with average high earning players like Beye and Warnock leaving in the summer then this loss of income wont be as hard felt. Big John I know you are on a downer and go on and on about how bad Houllier is but just because this season has been poor it doesnt mean Randy has suddenly become a poor Chairman or incompetent. Our league position is poor but player wise we have some great players, some great young players, an unbelievably good youth system and training facilities. There will be money to spend in the summer. Just because we are mirroring a league position of 5 years ago doesnt mean the club is in the same place it has moved on loads and again its so simplistic to think it hasnt moved on. I cant believe we all think we should know the ins and outs of GH's health. If his position is time sensitive then there has already been the hints of a decision come June. As for waking up, perhaps you should take your own advice as just because this season is poor it doesnt mean they are incompetent but what a typical overreaction from the modern day football fan.
