  1. Quite excited by this, will be nice to have a player who can spank a ball like Hitz. Also nice to be signing players early on, perhaps it wasnt Faulkner who took his time.
  2. I thought season 5 was the absolute mutt's nuts. I felt like the whole point of the first 4 seasons was just to get us to that point, because Season 5 was superb. It's up there with the best "seasons" of any TV show. Me too mate, just brilliant tv.
  3. On my best friends stag we decided that rather than give him a shot of vodka or whatever between beers he had to have an espresso. Poor lad didn't know whether he was coming or going but he seemed happy. For me, I bloody love good coffee and I also enjoy the different variants that are offered. Can't say I get too bothered by the names they are given either.
  4. Show Girls if that's a bit too controversial then Boyz n the Hood
  5. Course you could argue you too have an obsession with O'Neill. Just a different kind to those you allude to.
  6. This has really annoyed me for some reason. Wow, she sounds a lot of fun. Childish and an arrogant hipster, its all adding up.
  7. The wankfest over episode 8 wasn't really justified but fair do's episode 9 was a cracker.
  8. So Rachael Riley has joined The Gadget Show......
  9. Indeed Tony, I saw it Thursday and thought it was as enjoyable as Despicable Me. It has that rare attribute where it pretty much doesn't lull at any point.
  10. I can drive coffee at junctions too. Why wouldn't I be able to? *drink coffee, even. Can you always post letting everyone know when youre about to go on the road in your car. Thanks,
  11. That's entirely down to location. On my commute I see no traffic and not a single working speed camera (I see a burnt out one). I agree that if I was on a motorway going from 1st gear to 2nd and back to 1st again then auto probably makes more sense. But then if that's all I was doing, I'd probably look for an alternative mode of transport if at all possible. Yeah I realise that and you're very lucky, in fact I hate you for it ha ha, but I wasn't really aiming the post specifically at you just generalising some points. I was always of the mindset that manual was better but then I got flappy paddles and never looked back.
  12. I've also just been told that I once sat in a box at the Villa with him and his parents, though I don't remember that, he's also a Wolves fan so don't know why he'd be there.
  13. Don't know why. I'm baffled. I prefer manual because I like driving. An auto does it for you. That's not fun for me. Plus it means you're not getting the most out of the engine. Quite apart from auto being a typically thirstier and more expensive to fix transmission too. It's just expensive laziness and less enjoyable. Unless you need a free hand to drink coffee all the time then I'm not sure why you'd prefer automatic. If you were commuting in a busy city or sat on the m6 car park, constantly pushing the clutch in and out and going from 1st and only to 2nd an auto is far far better. With the driving thing I kind of get but your average driver isn't good enough to utilise the gears on a car good enough for it to be beneficial. Your average family, small car wouldnt benefit from a manual much either and most people don't drive fast sports cars, where a manual may be a benefit. But even then many expensive sports cars are fitted with flappy paddle shifts. Manuals are beyond over rated, clutches go far more often than a modern auto box and some manufacturers are now claiming that their auto is more economical than the manual. Driving for fun is a very rare thing now due to traffic congestion and speed cameras everywhere. The manual box will eventually die out.
  14. Maybe it could do with a renovation. Y'know the sort, new pumps, a decent shop, larger forecourt and better lighting. Sort it right out. Nah on that side its decent, the owner is a bit moody mind.
  15. The lad that is being questioned in the Georgia Williams murder lives round the corner from me and has served me in our local petrol station on a number of occasions. Its all a bit creepy, eerie and ultimately very sad.
  16. Not sure if any good but the Brasshouse Language Centre off Broad Street springs to mind.
  17. Did you see the news articles about stem cell treatment for stroke victims the other day ? Some interesting results I hadn't but I shall have a Google or maybe a DuckDuck even, cheers Tony.
  18. Watched a film in 3D today which is the first one since my stroke. Wasn't sure my eyes would be quite up to it and thought my brain might start to 'burn' and perhaps it might even set off some of the nerve pain I can encounter around my head and face. But actually non of that happened and I think it almost looked like it would have done pre-stroke. Chuffed.
  19. it's in season 2, I think. The one that's currently on BBC4 anyway (that's where I'm watching it) I've only seen John Ralphio briefly. Last episode was the one where he and Tom are trying to buy a share of the nightclub Also I don't know why but I really like April. And I don't think it's through attractiveness. She's alright. There's just something about the character that amuses me. Oh right, then no you wont have seen her. If it helps I find April weirdly attractive.
  20. ha ha yeah that cracked me up too. Is that in the latest series Ben, the one with John Ralphios sister?
