    Looking at booking Florida for 1 week (20th-27th Dec) with the park passes, staying on Int' Drive, and then New York for 1 week (28th Dec - 3rd January) staying at the Plaza in Times Square. So far me and the missus are looking at a price of £4200 for the both of us. Obviously flights and room only basis. Something I've never done (gone away for Xmas/NY OR gone to America) so really I'm looking for any advice people have for either. How is America during these times and what kind of spending money should I be looking at?

    Just an update from me. 7 weeks going and it's going well. We've been inseparable. Doesn't feel right now when I go to bed and she's not there. We're going away next weekend up to York so that'll be sweet. Everyone we've been introduced to (i.e parents, family, friends) have all said how comfortable we are with each other and it seems like we've been together for years. Good sign that. So yeah, happy happy, smiley smiley.

    Work til 5, straight to the missus' house for tea then whilst she goes to a show I'll be going to Blackheath for my mates birthday. Pub time! Tomorrow day I'll be generally dossing around cleaning, washing etc... gotta go to Oxford with the missus' for a quick strip-o-gram then head back home and go to my cousins house for her birthday party. Always a laugh. Sunday I'm bowling all day in the Midlands Five league down Worcester. We have £195 in our beer kitty between 7 of us. Should be a good day.

    No new hats lately. I've actually been wearing them a bit less strangely. Must be the change in weather. Sunshine = bald head out. Missus is good. We've just booked a few days away up in York for a few weeks time.

    Mental ain't it? Looking back I really can't think what I spent 13k a year on for 4 years. I had probably 2k saved. I had no bills or rent to pay, my car was a hand me down so nothing to pay there. Literally petrol, going out on a weekend, games/electronic goods, clothes and DVDs are all that spring to mind.

    I love Noel Fielding on Buzzcocks and other panel shows, but I just don't 'get' his comedy in his own shows. If that makes sense.

    My spare cash is going into my Flex saver. Really wish I'd saved this well when I was living at home and earning a yearly wage rather than spending it on crap and not saving anything. I'm saving a good £250 a month at the moment and that's after mortgage and bill payments have gone out. Makes no sense. Stupid young Dante spending freely.
