My mate has just said who is a massive Leicester fan that a guy named Steve Walsh (NOT the Steve Walsh who was a defender in the 90's for them) is finding these french gems for peanuts Steve Walsh Assistant Manager Along with fellow Assistant Manager Craig Shakespeare, Steve Walsh followed Nigel Pearson back to Leicester City in November 2011 to begin a second spell at the club and continue the work he started in July 2008. The Assistant Manager, and Head of Recruitment helped Pearson and Shakespeare bring in 32 players to the Club in their first stint at King Power Stadium – a period that saw The Foxes claim the League 1 crown and reach the Championship Play-Offs the following season. An accomplished non-league player, the highly regarded Walsh has worked for a host of clubs in a scouting capacity, including Bury, Chester, Chelsea and Newcastle – where he first came across City boss Pearson. Alongside a 30 year career as Head of Physical Education for a number of comprehensive schools, Walsh worked part-time as a scout for Chelsea for 16 years, where he is credited with recommending the signings of players such as Tore Andre Flo and Gianfranco Zola. Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho then persuaded Walsh to take on the full-time role of European Scout shortly after his arrival, where he worked closely with Andre Villas-Boas on the signings of Didier Drogba and Michael Essien. However Walsh was lured from his position at Chelsea by then-Newcastle United manager Sam Allardyce, where he linked up with Pearson, who had joined as assistant boss in 2006. That partnership was to continue in 2008 when Walsh followed Pearson to Leicester, achieved promotion from League 1 and a top six position in the Championship before a spell at Hull City and then finally back to Leicester alongside Pearson and Shakespeare in 2011.

I really do think Finnbogason will be snapped up by another team, probably playing in the Europa league next season. I think we should look at his team mate Hakim Ziyech. Only 21. Groningen have got themselves to very interesting strikers in Kostic and Zivkovic. The latter is only 17 and has scored 7 in 7 or something along those lines. Also Bacuna's old club so might want to deal with us again. The Dutch league could be our hunting ground this summer, some real talent to found there at the moment. Would love Ziyech here, mentioned him on here in January along with Isa. Something like 40 shots this season, 8 or 9 goals and 9/10 assists... he really is some talent, have watched some of the games on stream and i think this kid is the real deal. As for Finnbogason, would have liked him here when we was first linked with him in December 2012. Got to be worth a shot for some team at rumoured £9mil fee?

Mahrez as posted in Leicester thread in other football, was an absolute steal at 400k, whoever their french scout is he is doing some job!! I like Knockaert and would love him Villa but the Leicester fans i know are saying that Mahrez is even better than Knockaert! Those 2 are the key for them next season in Premiership, wish we could find talent like those two in France! £1mil for Knockaert and 400k for Mahrez.

We're thinking along the same lines. as above, was Sylla. Was told by a mate that was deffo him. Both of them (Sylla & Augilar) are from France near Paris, both have instagram.. And said in original article that the Villa player used instagram to chat her up. Don't think Bacuna, Delph, Benteke, Gabby are on there to be honest. The player from Swansea is rumoured to be De Guzman.

Looks like some near local derbies next season as they almost back in Premiership, if results go their way possibly even by 5pm Had some good games with them! the 4-4 at Villa Park when we was 4-1 up with 9 minutes left in mid 90's springs to mind! The French scout for them or whoever spotted them has struck gold with Anthony Knockaert (around 1mil) and one very good footballer and Riyad Mahrez (cost £400k in January and been an absolute steal, he is possibly as good or if not better than Knockaert) Those 2 will be their key to survival in premiership..

Not sure what this guy has done to get on the Board of Directors for the FA? hasn't done anything remarkable at Villa and just been a Yes man!

Suppose have to ask question, Why? was he released by Palace and then Southampton.. Lets hope he isn't out on the town every weekend? As he would fit right in here with some youngsters Southampton just don't release anyone, they take kids on who want to learn, and improve and work towards qualifications if they don't make it in football, hence why the set up they have there, development there is streets ahead of ours. As have to have discipline.

Yep, apparently so. Would be ideal for us but he's very highly rated and I would think we have next to no chance of signing him. I haven't seen enough of him to pass judgement but from all that I've read and heard, I would have to agree that this seems highly improbable. Never say never mate!! Look who was linked with Okore last season after great season he had in Denmark and also excelling in Champions League games..
