  2. http://www.sportsmole.co.uk/football/sunderland/transfer-talk/news/bardsley-a-target-for-villa_142760.html Linked with Phil Bardsley here he was awful a few years back and awful player altogether, even Hutton is better than Bardsley marginally
  3. http://www.sportsmole.co.uk/football/sunderland/transfer-talk/news/bardsley-a-target-for-villa_142760.html Linked with Phil Bardsley here he was awful a few years back and awful player altogether, even Hutton is better than Bardsley marginally
  4. Reckons on Talk Sport Website (Yes I Know) that we are watching Pape Moussa Konate of FC Krasnador, he is on loan at Genoa and scored 1 goal in 16, reckons 1.3mil will be enough to buy him in summer
  5. Funny thing is the player who just scored for against United for Olympiacos is Arsenal loanee Joel Campbell who they paid 500k for!! He has been on loan to France, Spain and now Greece last few years (i think work permit issues??) Looking a fine player at 21, cracking goal
  6. not took much notice of it before, all i saw was other people elsewhere on net saying he did it so posted it here. i got it wrong... apologies everyone
  7. well, what is then? same pose a few people elsewhere have said it is deffo the quenelle So what makes you think it's not then?
  8. If we had to get a good striker that is similar to Weimann but scores a lot more and not that much older: Alfred Finnbogason of Heerenveen would be a good choice. People was saying on here at start season we don't need Finnbogason (when we was linked) as Weimann is far better.. I very much beg to differ. But you are right, Long is a very hard working striker and would have worked well here.
  9. They have clicked very well, i had a gut they would be good signings for Hull and work well together!! both different types of strikers but working so well with each other!! in 5 games: Long has 2 and Jelavic 3! but each set each other up least 1 of those and the way they have worked out each others runs... exciting stuff i bet Hull fans are buzzing for such a good partnership.. Seems they also both get on well together We need to watch these two when we play Hull at Villa Park as they are on form!!
  10. Koscielny did the "Quenelle Celebration" today, i wonder if he will get fined by FA?
  11. No thread for Michael Drennan so i thought would start one! Done well at Carlisle on loan, and now joined Portsmouth on loan. 5 in 5 for Republic Of Ireland U21's as well. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/26290975
  12. Who do you reckon the african was that Lorna McClelland was talking about is? Salifou played in Switzerland and can't think of any africans who have came over??
  13. This is the sun+ article in full someone on another site has sun+ ASTON VILLA FOR SALE - £200 MILLION The American tycoon, who bought the club from Doug Ellis for £63m in 2006, is actively looking for a new owner who can inject more funds into Villa and take them forward. Lerner, 51, has been hoping for a wealthy United States investor to buy Villa. His inflated asking price takes into account the £250m he has spent on players, plus redeveloping facilities. Lerner knows he will not recoup all the cash but has been encouraged by the £190m Mohamed Fayed received from Shahid Khan for Fulham. A source said: “Randy has been open to offers for Villa from some time — but wants quite a lot of money from the club. “He has seen the £190m sale of Fulham but about £35m of that was a premium for it being a London-based club.” The value of Prem clubs is soaring because of the new TV deal which pays at least £40m a season. A deal could take around three months to complete and any buyer would wait to be sure Villa will definitely be a top-flight side next season before finalising a deal. Former Villa boss Gerard Houllier, global sports director for Red Bull, has already gone public to state his company are not interested in tabling a bid. from the SUN article pulled it off another forum (cant believe somebody has a sun account ffs)
  14. We are linked in today's the sun with johann gudmundsson. He is 23 and out contract in summer reckon ourselves, Newcastle, Norwich and Swansea want the ex Chelsea and Fulham winger
  15. Apparently been on Spanish radio that we are after Raoul Loé of CA Osasuna again, Was meant to be on his way to West Ham!! Defensive Midfielder, 24, 1 cap for Cameroon Also long term target Dale Stephens is close to signing for Brighton
  16. They only seem take our players when we release them... Byfield, Conor Taylor. Can't think of anyone really he has gone on loan to them from us?? Surely likes of Drennan would be beneficial playing at Walsall than say Carlisle on loan.
  17. They call Smiths style on wiki ''Total Football" Preaching the Swansea type way at Walsall... Smith could be a good bet to look at if Lambert ever goes!! certainly has a good eye for young/freebie players..
  18. Isn't Dean Smith meant to be a Villa fan as well?
  19. What does everyone on here think of Walsall? I have a lot of respect for them for number of years and like the way they purchase smart young bosmans amongst journeymen and bringing through very talented youngsters.. and sell many on (Young bosmans or youth team prospects) for big money (Michael Ricketts, Danny Fox, Anthony Gerrard, Scott Dann and Matty Fyatt) Dean Smith plays really good football and just won 5-1 away to Notts County..and currently in play off's Pity the chairman Jeff Bonser is very much like Deadly Doug and rarely gives them a penny to purchase, think James Constable was only cash signing in last 10 years. Would love to see more of a partnership between ourselves and Walsall sending our youngsters on loan there, Milan Lalkovic on loan from Chelsea has been good for them this season
  20. Fernando Gago anyone? read he was only on 1.3mil euros a year at Valencia (which is 25k a week or less) and now on less at Boca http://www.insidespanishfootball.com/65864/boca-juniors-reach-e1-5-million-agreement-for-valencias-fernando-gago/ Would be able get work permit as played in europe and just type signing needed
  21. he's better than Grant Holt... Very strange as although Le Fondre is 27 he has followed a similar path to Holt... places like Rochdale and other lower league teams... Le Fondre is a more lethal goalscorer
  22. http://www.sportsdirectnews.com/premier-league-news/38757-villa-and-albion-pursue-interest-in-le-fondre.php#.Ut2KS9LFKUk
