  3. Rumours floating around that Weimann was seen out on the town Saturday night very drunk and didn't look in at least bothered that we had lost 4-1
  4. Just got back from Swansea, at the end when Villa Fans started booing as not one player walked over to clap until Albrighton did and then Lowton The rest walked off but Gabby walking off was swearing at Villa Fans and mouthing words ''**** off'' it sent a lot of fans near me very angry indeed and few was trying call him over.. Does he realise we played poorly again, spent best part 3hrs travelling there and was drenched at the front of their stand.. Anyone else see what Gabby did at end? i have video at end game showing players not coming over to clap and possibly what he did, i'll watch it now to see if can upload it
  5. league finishes of 15th, 7th, 17th, 4th and 11th under Moyes (first 5 seasons at Everton) some bad seasons and some pretty good seasons.. All in all too inconsistent and has been ever since.
  6. Football has moved on a lot since Everton got 4th! I doubt Moyes will ever get 4th again managing another team in Premiership..
  7. Martinez has always played passing/attacking football for the teams he has managed! Swansea, Wigan and now Everton ... Getting Swansea from lower leagues to Championship at time, then Wigan played football the right way also in premiership and drew praise from media for way he sets his teams out to play, i was all for Martinez when at Swansea and then WIgan coming to the Villa. You don't see that from a Moyes team, since when have Everton or Man Utd played truly wonderful, passing football? he didn't even replicate that style either at Preston! he just plays similar tactics to MON, McLeish or Lambert.. no Plan B and hoof it long to Big Man upfront. Big No, No
  8. yes exactly!! can't believe people are all going on about Moyes!! When a forward thinking, brilliant tactician like Murat Yakin could be tempted to Villa Park! Plays youngsters, brings them on properly, beaten lot of big teams in Champions League! and he is only 39!! for me, he is very much in Martinez mould! and deserves a crack in Premiership! He is better than most of the suggestion already posted in this thread! If you have never heard of him, suggest you do Just looked him up, does have a good record. Do people think he is ready to leave and take the step up? read this mate! http://www.goal.com/en/news/1717/editorial/2014/04/10/4737306/the-next-guardiola-marvellous-murat-yakin-deserves-a-chance He was close to going to Crystal Palace (Before Pulis) and Sunderland (Before Poyet) this season!! He would love chance in Premiership
  9. Yes, he would!! He is BORING!! and we will be getting same tripe we witnessed under McLeish & Lambert!! You do realise it took Moyes least 3/4 years until Everton look okish and then took until after xmas before they really picked up points in most of the season's he was there!! Would be such a boring appointment! can't understand why everyone rates him so much? Wow he got Everton into Top 6 a few times!! So did Martin O'Neill here, and his tactics was similar. None of them have a Plan B apparent from long balls to the big man or hit teams on counter attack.. Fed up with this brand of football and so are lot of other people.

  21. I got mine free in ''The Sun'' 2 Saturday's ago!! lol Yeah, apparently it's free in some shops!!
  22. What a comment from a Scouse fan on a forum!! (Bang on the money sir) ''It's an opinion i used to share but one I now don't. Absolutely it's hard to see past the progress of City and Chelsea who needed to spend billions to get Top 4. However when you look at Everton fighting for Top 4 and they have made a profit for the last 5 seasons on transfers. When you take a look at us challenging for a title and in a great position with likes of Flanagn, Sterling, Henderson, Coutinho who were not even established players at top clubs a couple of years back it starts to re-educate you into what is possible. If Villa are taken over and the owners have both financial support and the right strategy it's possible they'll start on a curve of improvement. Of course it's such a tough League because so many teams have financial clout. However it generally means players from that League are the over priced. This is the most lucrative league in world domestically and also the one with the fairest distribution of revenue from TV. That's why it makes it attractive but it's also the most competitive but every owner thinks their plan will work because they're used to success being successful in business. When you look at the takeovers of Chelsea and City it's easy to focus on the football alone. However the Russian could see the success of London and that as a City it's one of the safest places to invest. As London grows over time it has it's drawbacks for rest of country but there are a few cities that will start to grow once links are established with London. London sucks wealth and talent from around the UK but as a city Manchester are benefiting from connecting to London and you see that in property investment. Those who want to invest in the UK but find London too pricey are now looking to Birmingham and Manchester more so than us in Liverpool. Birmingham is more than double the size of Liverpool. They currently have West Brom and Villa in the Premier League. Villa have some history even with European trophies be it a long time ago. When you look at the Birmingham owner Carson Yeung he saw the potential of the City and the possibility to dominate a large City but didn't have the right plan. Randy Lerner saw same potential at Villa but whilst coming close couldn't get over the line. They finished ahead of us Rafas final season. So it's not out the question Villa could with right backing improve and compete. Benteke, Delph, Westwood, Baker, Lowton, Okore, Helenius, Luna, Sylla, Weimann, Clark, Bennett and not one are over 24. Right now they're hardly a force but they've got a good manager. They've got a young squad that's competing. They're the Premier club in the Midlands and that's the second largest city in the UK. Very soon when links to London increase the prosperity of the city and it's assets will increase and you can see why to an investor it would be an attractive proposition even given the massive competition to advance.''
  23. Anyone think the Texas Billionaire could be Clark Hunt? We are playing his team in the Tour in summer (FC Dallas) they said going to be two billionaires interested! So could it be Hunt & Anschultz (Playing both their teams in summer) Might be a clue, what do people think? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clark_Hunt
  24. some said on bellsareringing earlier: a friend of mine said: ''This has a real ring of Phil Anschutz at Houston Dynamo to it if true mate. Fingers crossed!'' I replied: well we are playing his team pre-season and he developed/founder of MLS anyway (and owns about 6 teams in there already) so wouldn't he have a big say if he wanted a Villa Team in there?? i didn't think of that!! I am going for Arison & Anschultz dream team as the 2 billionaires
