  1. They've clearly learnt nothing from the Barry saga. The price is £32.5 million, pay it or go away.
  2. He's a defensive sitter, he's not like Delph.
  3. You don't see enough Ludwigs about these days.
  4. I don't think it matters. His game isn't based on pace and he clearly still has much to offer a side like us. I think the likes of Westwood and Grealish would benefit hugely from his exprience too. Gueye, Cambiasso and Chery coming into supplement the midfield would really beef up our quality.
  5. The article seems to suggest we've bulled our way to the front with our accepted bid.
  6. I felt very attached to the characters, so would welcome them returning in a sequel.
  7. There were some videos from IS propaganda released earlier this month with some Tom and Jerry levels of cartoon violence in them. Informers being tied inside a car, which is then set ablaze. A line of men being simultaneously strangled by a metal wire. Informers locked inside a cage and then pushed into a pool to drown.
  8. Maybe your vents have clogged up with dust? Give them a blast with an air cannister.
  9. The betting market for player sales are tiny. If somebody put £100 on your see the odds alter drastically, one way or the other.
  10. Peace in the Middle East is dependant on The Magic Kingdom and Tehrran burying a 1300 year old hatchet that both are currently the main weilders of, which has been used to split Islam into two. A combination of hydrocarbons, patronage and Persian feelings of racial superiority over the Arabs, make that an unlikely occurance anytime soon.
  11. You said it feels similar. How is it similar?
  12. So it's the same, apart from a pretty big difference of finding buyers and granting one of them exclusivity?
  13. Fox is CEO, he has control of the board to such an extent that he can sack the manager should he so wish. Therefore the decision making process is entirely his and limited only to the extent, financially speaking, of the agreed budget with Robin Rusell for the financial year. Lerner will soon relinquish any control of the running of the club, either by resigning as chairman brought about by sale or otherwise.
  14. I hunk you're right. I imagine the finger of suspicion might be cast in him at some point, much like Cohle. He certainly seems the oddest. Also, who would have cut a deal with the drunk driver?
  15. I might have misheard but I thought it was mentioned that he'd been in army? I assumed they were war wounds.
  16. I thought on watching it he was trying to kill himself, as there was a shot while he was doing 100mph from his perspective of total darkness; literally him staring into the abyss. Your theory though is equally plausible and perhaps more interesting.
  17. All four main characters had issues with sex of some form or another; Farrell was firing blanks and his wife ends up being raped, McAdams character had done something with her boyfriend hat was deemed odd by him and she also wigged out about her sister masturbating on web cams. The young copper needs Viagra and Vaughn hadn't been able to produce a child yet either. The guy who was murdered had a somewhat bohemian house in the way it was decorated with sexual acts and there was a dildo on his coffee table. Sex and violence is always at the heart of these things, so I am not sure how important or unimportant these factors are.
  18. 1) Make up nonsense 2) Describe nonsense as unlikely 3) When nonsense doesn't happen, say I told you so 4) I told you so.
  19. I found myself paying more attention to Vaughn in his scenes than any other actor in any other show. At times it felt like he could feel the pressure of us all waiting for him to balls it up. He wasn't his normal bad self.
  20. Enjoyed that. It is something quite different, with, as stated above, the manner of filming and very moody undertone that cuts underneath every scene, carried over. I especially liked the line: Made me laugh when, given the scene, perhaps it shouldn't have. The characters seem nice and complex and the writing is just as good. Interesting times, even if it doesn't have quite the magic of the first season.
  21. Is a rich man, having a drink on his sun bed, while on holiday with his friends, really newsworthy? Typical "story" from The Scum. As somebody else has said, the only thing offensive or concerning is his dress sense.
  22. You don't think new ownership and the offer of new ambition would be attractive to a player? If a club is signing good quality, then players and agents can surely tell the signs that they're likely to be far more competative. Southampton are an example of this in the way they finished a place or two above us in 2013, yet still managed to recruit increased quality, while we did not. McLeish could send a glass eye to sleep. I'm not sure his offering of the most tedious and nihilistic brand of football would be persuasive for any half decent player.
