Hypothesising a little here, so feel free to disagree; Just suppose that Petrov was given the 'Merson' role. I understand what MON tried to do, but I think it was too late in Petrov's career to change from a creative/attacking mid to a defensive one. If anything it needs youth to do that. There is a discussion to be had about who our defensive mids should be, but for the moment just focus on whther Petrov would be a good 'Merson'. Thoughts?

Well, there's no such thing as too many babygrows. Babies crap and throw up on them constantly. She's also prob going to be short of cash, so any consumables would be handy, but not very present-like. So... Something nice and cute + useful boring stuff like sensitive skin washing liquid, babygrows, babywipes. Maybe a cd of lullabyes?

Dan Walker is the biggest rocket polisher around, however I still can't see how giving Sky half of the F1 coverage has any upside. For humans at least.

tbh I prefer subtitles and listening to the person's voice, rather than a bloody translator. I remember studying languages at school; you almost NEVER get to hear anyone speaking a foreign language on TV, yet you go abroad and it's just normal.

Woodward has clearly spent the off season building up a store of Partridgisms. And he's using them all in the first friendly. Next match he'll be talking about socks again. Back to the match... Fonz has skill, but is somewhat short of confidence. You know I think our new manager has the shrewdness to get him to his potential. He'll see what is happening tonight and will work on him.
