Again I agree with 1982 :roll: I think with a few footballers this year is about getting first team football so that they can get into world cup squads more than european football. Hitz was a perfect example of this. So would Baros join us, Im not so sure especially with 3 forwards already at the club

I must admit as jobs go mine has a lot of perks the best of which is travel to lots of different countries. From the USA, Canada to places like Mexico, Faroe Islands, Slovenia, Serbia etc. Its great to see these places and have a talk with the locals usually about football, beer and women

Well said Pete, its amazing the effect that transfers of any type can have on some fans. It was the same when we signed DJ2 and I posted a thread to that effect at the time. As said by IanR (I think) can you imagine what would happen if we signed a real "crowd pleaser". I think comments about hat munching should be consigned into the pending tray right next to the very old "last laugh" one

Dont think there will be anyone NOT giving them a chance Lee, its just not the "wuality" signings people were talking about / hoping for I would suspect though Lee. Both may well turn out to be wonder players, even legends, but proabably wont. Still as they are now Villa players we welcome them and hope they bring success to the club.

Exactly Brian - as I said look at the back of the programme, thats a good reflection on who was and who wasnt a first team squad player

Brian - as Drobny had a squad number last year shouldn't he be included? Maybe that shoudl be the criteria for inclusion, a valid squad number from the last match programme?

**** JPA you should be in politics with all the bollox you spout. - bit of a give away and defeat for your statement when you say "we had a great chance".
