Given the scale of the owners ambitions, the focus and drive of Emery, and the urgency with which all parties are approaching their task, I cannot see the club putting up with a temperamental child. It’s a waste of resources and disruptive to the group if coaching staff have too much of their time consumed by non-football related problems. It’s not a crèche. If we can get our money back by selling him elsewhere then fair enough. Duran may go on to be a world beater, but if he’s not what we need in the here and now then show him the door and get someone in that we can rely on.

If Digne goes this window then it’s as part of a bigger plan. We’ll just have to make do with the Moreno - Ramsey combo that fans creamed themselves over last season. I’m excited to see what money-ball madness Emery and Monchi have planned over the next few windows, and I doubt he’ll be the only high profile exit.

We’ve struggled against teams playing a low block because we don’t have someone who can unlock a defence. Buendia is still a way off coming back and we don’t have a similar profile in the squad. We need our own version of a Maddison - Odegaard - KDB. From what I’ve read on here that could be Alex Baena, but I’ve never watched him play..

Jokes aside, Leao is the next level of player needed to improve the 11. Left wing and CF cover. Remember us being ‘after’ him (in VT transfer thread world) before he went to Italy. If we get UCL for next season players like that become genuine targets, imo.

I expect there will be random shock loses for everyone except Citeh and Liverpool. Those two have the squad depth to grind out long runs of victories, and although in theory Arsenal could too, they are bottle jobs.
