A very important position for a very important upcoming season. I am not convinced.

What is the point of Calderwood. We have gone backwards since he came in.

Bruce has been given time solely on the basis of previous promotions. Nothing he has done with us would be sufficient to give him time.

Not convinced by them either. I certainly want Bruce replaced, but I am also aware that these guys have cocked things up twice already with RDM and then Bruce. Caught between a rock and a hard place.

If the die has been cast and we stick with Bruce, then the club are taking one helluva chance. I hope it succeeds.

Where is the `stability' in yet another clearout of players. He was allowed to bring in very good Championship players in January and has achieved nothing with them and has failed to make them look even remotely like a team. Why would it be any better with another bunch of new players to try to `gel'. Ridiculous.

I think the opposite. For me, he needs to show the sort of performances that will convince doubtful people like me that he can take us up next season, using his best and settled team. And I have a feeling he may also have to convince Xia.

Nothing wrong with having an opposing view. A reasoned discussion is better than silly sniping.

I see posters now saying perhaps no promotion next season, but the season after, and yet more signings. The signings we made this season should have been enough to get us up this season, but RDM and Bruce have both failed miserably, both with the signings they made, and then how they managed them.. Never mind spending money on more players, spend it on a decent manager.

I think like a lot of our players in recent years, he will become a much better player when he goes somewhere else.

You need to try to be more focused.

Don't really want to join in with this discussion, but I have to point out that I believe it is unfair to other managers over the years to compare a record in the Championship with records in the top flight. I doubt if Bruce will ever achieve the heights of those you compare him with. You have to remember where we now are - second tier.

How long is Bruce going to take to get them playing like a team? Surely he has had long enough by now for us to see some progress in that direction. I think the remaining games are important in enabling the club management to assess him with a view to possibly getting someone else in before the summer.
