  1. Clarke could only get a lower score in this half if he scored an own goal. Getting sent off would be more positive for us
  2. Clark. Lescott, Sinclair, Bacuna, gestede all had an absolutely terrible half of football
  3. Jesus Tim. Please can you change your mind And half the team and try and play football. We look like the championship side
  4. I prefer the way we played against mitts county. This is terrible to watch and looks like producing nothing but a defeat
  5. Jesus Christ Sinclair is awful. No fight in him. Just gives up the ball at the first sign of pressure
  6. the Clark experiment at DM needs to stop right now. Fish out of water doing more harm than good. Sinclair very poor also. Absolutely no ball retention at all. Tim needs to change something this line up is playing some awful football. hard to see gestede coming good as well. Looks very limited. Oh dear.
  7. This is mad. They'd rather there be empty seats than sell me three tickets. My booking history must go back 20 years + , admittedly sporadically but generally lots 10 + years ago and then only 1-2 per season. HM forces, family etc haven't let me attend at all last few years. Went to the notts county game as I'm pretty close during the week, went with with 2 mates who are not villa fans but like watching footy they loved it. I can understand not getting a ticket if it was sold out as There are lot more dedicated fans. But it's not and to be honest I'm a.) very offended that they think I could be a nose, b.) inclined to say **** you Villa I won't bother then.
  8. The fact that Guzan comes out means he's given a call. Keepers make a and you get out of his way. Completely missed the ball. Should have claimed it. Too many mistakes from him now and appears to be getting much worse.. New Keeper is a priority for me.
  9. Agree. Chelski would send him out on season long loan. Maybe that's what this is
  10. Have I missed something? Why is everyone so certain this is wrapped up, I've seen nothing concrete, just the comments this morning, which didn't mention Villa. As always I'm gonna stay off this thread until he's In the shirt fake signing a random bit of paper.
  11. These are all relatively minor injuries. Shin splits can often lead to a stress fracture, overuse injury, or repeated impact, running on dry hard pitches. That and the hamstring, I would think 8 week recovery at worst then training to full fitness. Probably less with top class echo very facilities, hydro pool, infrared treatment, physics etc. Anyway I would rather this guy than Ayew, from the limited footage I have seen of both he seems a better player. The star is rubbish though I'm putting this in unlikely
  12. Rubbish. Most quick players will have torn a hamstring at some point. Only the very worst tears requiring surgery, could have any lasting impact. These are very rare. Recovery for most varies from 3-8 weeks.
  13. Trying to look on the bright side. But really struggling, why o **** why couldn't he have been around under o Neil when we were a decent side, he would have been perfect. Instead we have him in the second worst villa side I have witnessed. I know it's coming but I genuinely feel really sad about this. The side just doesn't have a look of a prem side without him in it. Be a shame if he failed a medical wouldn't it. Needs some exciting signings quickly, or things will get ugly really quick if we start poorly. ****!
  14. Great player. He goes with my blessing, one of my favourite players in recent times. Particularly fond of the demolition of smalling and the Chest trap volley against Norwich. Think Red Scouse is the wrong club for him. They have a number of striking options, I just wonder if he goes through s dry spells which he does frequently, will they persever like Villa did ( through lack of options) or will he be sat on the bench waiting for another opportunity. I think he will score goals there but my perception is that he scored in clusters of form and 6-7 game barren patches. Id like first refusal to have him back if it doesn't work out.
  15. I've no problem with his ability, it's his attitude. Spurs can't wait to get shot of him and they have soldado, who can't score yet at least tries hard. Trying hard doesn't seem something you can attribute to adebayor. I'd much rather wages were spent on untested players with promise rather than a 30 year old with a questionable work ethic and possibly mental health issues.
  16. That's the risk players take running down their contract. Not that he's short of a bob, but I guess it must be a big blow. Might end up retiring.
  17. I think the fee upfront is why this has stalled. Otherwise why is Benteke still in Portugal. If the clause is 32.5 m, I want that in my account in full. Unless we are offering a PCP at 47% over 5 years.
  18. I was really angry about it. I'm still a bit torn but I'm switching to the honest but a bit thick, rather than trying to be a dick. The only thing that goes against it is the clause inserted in his contract, I'm assuming that was his suggestion. He essentially got paid more money than he would have got by seeing his contract out. I genuinely think he did want to stay and then it was nawing at him this week. Who hasn't been torn before. I like the player and the character but it's hard to argue he was any good for us, I posted a stat where he has completed less than 2 through balls, he doesn't score many or assist and we were still getting beat regularly. We probably both need a change, sadly I think he has overestimated his ability and I don't think he's a top 4 midfielder, but he won't know until he tries. I don think he will stay for 5 years if he's benched a lot though, but probably won't cost him too much. It's a bit of a climb down for city though, I'm guessing they have told him they are not going for pogba. So from a city perspective going from potentially Pogba or Wiltshire to delph is a fairly big anticlimax.
  19. Just the ones that I care about a bit. Here, City forums, think I have an account on an Everton forum. So now you're suggesting that it isn't posting on a forum that's sad, but posting on a forum where you can't get involved in conversations? Because the last few hours have shown me that people seem to want to have a conversation with me, mainly about things that are nothing to do with Delph despite my efforts to talk about him or the transfer I enjoy a few other fans posting on the board, gives some perspective. As long as they are not gloating etc.
  20. Thing is no villa fan would argue that Delph was a better CM than Milner. Presuming Milner is playin regularly at Red spouse in CM what's the betting he wraps up a CM place with England. Of course that might have happened anyway, but you've got to think that's the reason Milner left.
  21. They had a much better side and spent wisely. We don't have a great track record so far with selling good players and replacing them with better. However sherwood was going on about getting rid of losers and bringing in winners, whilst I liked delph, his goal return and assists is not great, it's not too long ago people talked about him being a headless chicken, with a reckless tackle good for a fair few suspensions. We were rubbish with him playing so it's hard to see where he made the difference, didn't score many, assist many, or make us hard to beat. I would probably liked to have kept him still though. @Squawka: Fabian Delph made fewer successful through balls (2) the past 2 league seasons than: Phil Jones Lee Cattermole Shola Ameobi Mathieu Debuchy
  22. @Squawka: Fabian Delph made fewer successful through balls (2) the past 2 league seasons than: Phil Jones Lee Cattermole Shola Ameobi Mathieu Debuchy Maybe a change would be best for both parties. It's hardly as if he's made us tick.
  23. What a lying **** Snake. I wouldn't care if he went on a free, that was his right, why start all this loyalty bullshit. If he had the intention of staying why would have an 8m release cause put in your contract. **** off, you deserve city, at least Milner had no idea how it would turn out when he left. I wish delph nothing but a terrible career. I hope he's warming the bench and left out of the England squad come the Euros, begging for loan moves to Sunderland next season. To be honest we were **** shocking last season with Delph and Cleverley in midfield so from that point of view it can't really get any worse can it? Right now I Despise Randy Lerner, and that ginger clown that was running this place, it was clear they had no **** idea when they appointed mcleish, and this is where it has led to. Why the hell offer delph a contract with an 8 million release clause. Idiotic, just let him be a judas and disappear on a free at least you wouldn't have had to pay top wages for half a season and put up with this loyalty bullshit. Combined with Benteke going, I've had enough of this. **** the premier league, **** randy Lerner. **** ambition, **** competition,
