    Well this is it isn’t it. I don’t like the 1874 and the star either but ultimately the majority of the fan base do and fan consultation is what people want. Im honestly badge fatigued now and I was probably moaning amongst the most. Now I’m ready to just accept it and move on.

    I can tell you it’s true of law as well. Everyone is a lawyer now. I seem to be spending far more of my time fixing the stupid mistakes of smart-arses who thought they knew better. There’s a reason it’s so hard to become a lawyer you know…

    Lerner was generally pretty good at making the fans happy, hearing what the fans had to say and understanding the club. Ultimately probably part of his downfall as he wasn’t ruthless with MON or anything else and we ran up massive losses. So maybe this is just the price that we have to pay. Fans now get shafted in everything but at least we are financially stable.

    Why do you think that out of interest? Because of the lack of consultation? I doubt the FA really have the teeth or desire to stop it. I’m sure Villa can successfully fudge that they abided by the consultation rules. This whole thing is a joke. What exactly does the club have to gain by pissing off a fan base and having a shit badge?

    Nope. The fans literally voted on the current, better badge. I was never a massive fan of the round badge but right now I’m utterly desperate for it to remain over the Lerner/Heck shield.

    Yup. Didn’t want to be that harsh but you’re basically right. Who even cares about who wins the FA Cup if it isn’t your team? I couldn’t say with certainty who won it last year but I assume city and it’s the league cup they failed at.

    The least surprising performance. 7 years of FA Cup misery, crashing out of the league cup and playing dire in all but one conference league game doesn’t exactly fill me with joy for cup ties.

    The evidence suggests we don’t rely on VAR. VAR has only overturned one goal against us because it wasn’t flagged offside (Garnacho in the Man Utd game).
