    You can somewhat get away with it if you’re a generational talent like Balotelli (albeit he threw it all away). Duran is bang average.

    Well this is it. Maybe I’m just looking back with tinted specs but I swear game changing refereeing mistakes never happened that often. VAR just seems to create more by massively dissecting everything. The number of mistakes corrected is not worth the wholesale impact it has had on the enjoyment of the game, and this game proves that.

    If this is all true then def won’t miss him. Personally I see absolutely nothing to be excited about in him and if this is all true then his personality for this squad and where we want to be is way, way off anyway.

    I can’t see anything but a loss. We seem to hate the FA Cup, have half our squad out and are playing on the back of 3 poor performances against a side who will be well up for it.

    I think Wolves is no.1. Iconic, immediately recognisable, clean, minimalist, works in every format, unique shape but without being insane. I think it’s perfect tbh. It’s what I wanted ours to be - a lion but just quite simply and recognisably the Villa lion

    I think it was the social media reaction. There was a petition as well I think to the local MP (as if that matters) but when you have every other club and huge businesses ripping you on social media you need to backtrack. Ours obviously won’t illicit the same response as ours is just shite rather than hilarious and astonishingly misguided.

    NSWE don’t get a free pass on this. Heck is their man. They’ve achieved great things on the football side of things. On the non football side they’re **** everything up. Unless the thing you love the most about Villa is revenue.

    Someone did point out the other day that the demographic of this website and also the fans groups is mostly middle aged-ish men. I’d be intrigued to know what the 25 and under Villa demographic thinks.

    Christ it’s worse every time I look at it. I don’t get how some people just don’t care - it’s the most important aspect of our brand and identity.

    Total hollocks. This “reserving” bollocks is also bollocks. The Aston Villa trademark has been trade marked forever. The lion is already trademarked. You couldn’t use any of the elements without being accused or passing off anyway. This is our badge.
