  1. And I want to praise you Trent for that Avatar! Totally of topic by the way
  2. If some random guy in a casino ask me if i am going to quit my job in the middle of negotiating a payraise, I would'nt tell him Jack shit. And I am not even a famous football player whos future is widely speculated in the press. Benteke is not going say he is staying because it will give him less worse hand negotiating his new deal, when it gets out all over social media and the press.
  3. For once we are actually linked and looking to sign someone before the window has even opened. And people are still complaing as it would be late in the window and the only business we were looking to do FFS some of you really have to take step back and take a couple of big breaths. He may turn out to be exceptional, ordinary or shit, but at least we are doing two things right. like most of you have been on for years about. Looking for talent outside Britain and looking to sign value for money. Instedad of average over the hill PL-players with big egos and a massive paycheck, spending most of their time on the bench or worse.
  4. Yes I think you're right. I Think he is really trying to set up Villa similar to Dortmund. A team that works well together and run a hell of a lot more than the average team. And when they win the ball, they often do it high up in midfield when the opposition is trying to build up play and fast as **** counter attacks with 3-4 players.
  5. Come on Richard! It looks bad. But I think it was far worse mid Jan. We actually play better football now AND been a bit unlucky. To be honest I actually think we just need a couple of results to build more confidence. That said I'm sure it's going to be a frustrating 3 months but we are not out of it yet.
  6. I agree, with you regarding our back four and have I have said i another thread. I honestly think that we have shown some progress and with Sylla in the team will give us a more balanced team. We just desperatly need a win to build confidence.
  7. I’m also preoccupied by our current form and really worried about the state of our club. But I try to be positive when we sign a player in an area that we really need strengthening.
  8. I can't believe some of you already more or less are writing him of. Here we got a young obviously talented French DCM that wants to join us and yet people start complaining even before you actually seen him play! First people complain the lack of transfer activity this window. Then when we do actually sign someone, that someone is to young, not experienced enough, to old no resale value, far to expensive, wage demands to high, British and expensive, foreign and unknown, foreign and lacking moral fiber... And we are now apparently signing players preparing for next year in the Championship (already relegated?)… Had we signed a super star for £150 k a week it would have been irresponsible due to the fact we might not play Premiership football next season. I guess the club can’t do anything right at the moment. Give the guy a chance to proof himself on the pitch!
  9. Promising second half. Weiman has another good game. We really deserved at least one point. I guess Bent won't start a game any time soon, wich I have no problem with. He was relly week.
  10. Please don't let Bannan waste anymore freekicks or corners!
  11. I think we probably kan attract top/very good players from most of the bigger leagues in Europe (including spain, Italy and even germany), maybe not from clubs challenging for CL, but not far from that. Remember that the average PL team pay a lot higher wages than teams in other leagues. I think our wage problem and our ability to have a competitive team will not be that hard IF we mix foreign players with Brittish. Our main problem now is that everone knows we are desperate to offload a couple of players and replace them, so we will get less money (may even have to pay part of future wages) players leaving and paying higher transfer fees for player coming in. Finally I think we can attract good players but beeing in the position we are will make it more expensive. And to get this club running with a profit means we have to spend now to increase revenue/profit later. Bad decisions have been made that we suffer from now and will do for a while, but that is all sunk costs. Its hard to give examples of specific players so I might not have answered your question but I tryed.
  12. I don't think the players are all that bad. The problem is we don't have a balanced team. For example our midfielders, most of them are ok, but they don't play well together. We are desperate for a Petrov in midfield, leader by example who does all the small things the "average" fan doesn't see but at the same time is so important for a team to function well. A midfielder that makes his teammates better footballers. Another problem with a poor balanced team is that you usually don't defend or attack well as a team. The outcome of a game will always rely on a individual skill/effort rather than a team effort topped with individual skill. That is why I think two players (midfield and winger) might be enough to turn this season around. I also think Dunne (if motivated trying to get a contract with a new team) good be important with his experience, helping the younger lads get their confidence up. Because as other posters have been saying we really lack confidence that has cost us at least 4 points the last two weeks.
  13. Can't blame Zog, awful run from Lichaj made passing difficult
  14. I agree with most of it. But I can't believe you are suggesting that MONs irresponssilbe spending wasn't his fault. As a senior manager in a business your have far more financial responsiblility than you are suggesting. If you as a manager can't handle that responsibility your are not fit to control the financial part of the job. In that case you have a director of football above you that take care of the business bit of your job, while you suggest the specific players you want to sign. I meen why do you think the best person suited for negotiating contracts is the manager? Player use experts (agents) helping them get as much money as they possibly can. I think the club should do the same thing, use negotiationg experts. And the manager should spend more time developing the team.
  15. I can't believe people want Warnock back! oh dear! Some of you must have really short memory.
  16. The first two goals were both Herds fault! On the first goal he totally dropped the marking on Torres. The second one was just poor defending giving away a freekick when not needing to do so.
  17. Sky Sports webpage Not credible then. :winkold:
  18. Has any of you seen him play? If you have, whats your opinon of him?
  19. You were asking me to specifically post from twitter yesterday, Pilchard! Shall I find your post? Every news outlet on the planet now tweets! Yes most of it is rolex but if you wanna find out FIRST about stuff then you know where to look! eg Fukushima, death of Amie Winehouse Keep on posting tweets that are relevant to the topic! If people don't want to read them they don't have to. I appricate the posts because I go to VT find info about Villa. I can't be bothered going to twitter searching for credible sources. In fact you and others that posts tweets saves me alot of time, packaging evertything nicecly in one post at VT. So keep on posting tweets as long as you now that the source isn't a complete word removed who make shit up for fun.
