  1. I guess you are going to be there to welcome her and give her a ride to BH?
  2. I'm really scared for the answer, but why on earth would you like that?
  3. "Medical? Don't worry about that, plenty of time to sort that. Hey, we've got our photographer here today preparing pictures of our other signings we're set to unveil. Okay if we get that sorted out just now?" Neil, still at BHX?
  4. A Little less than 43 000 i reckon...
  5. You just crashed the official webpage
  6. Paying a fee and all the wages on a player they are desperate to offload makes no sence what so ever. Adebayor is in the driving seat. If he has his mind set on reuniting with Sherwood he can pretty much just sit on his bum with his arms crossed and say no all the other offers that might come in. Spurs needs to get as much of his wages of their books as possible and are risking having a £100 K player on their hands that they have no intention of using (not even with the reservs). We just have to give them enough to make them feel it's a win/win deal. If Spurs has the need to feed the press that they are doing excellent business to get their fans onboard, it's fine with me. And I think it's fine with Fox, Sherwood et al aswell. As long as we get the deal we are pleased with.
  7. Sounds like things are about to get Messi. Fixed
  8. IF we replace Delph and more importantly Benteke i agree Gueye even in pre season looks a much better player than Delph. I disagree. And I'm shocked that some already say, definitively, Gueye is a better player. He looks good but Delph joined Man City for a reason, other than being a dick. And please don't tell me Man City bought him cause he is English. He will start for them when fit. He is a top player in the premier league. Gueye is younger, perhaps with more potential, but he is NOT a better player already and we will suffer in this position as a result. Delph will only start because he wouldn't sign a contract if he wasn't guaranteed playing time. And you are right if the only reason they bought him was for being English they could have chosen a player from the local pub team. But it doesn't change the fact that he wouldn’t be high up on their shopping list if he was French.
  9. If Vertout has said he wants to play for the mighty Villa he will . There is nothing Leicester can do about it (or Nantes chairman), even if Nantes would accept the bid from Leicester Vertout doesn't have to sign for them if he knows there are better clubs in for him (that would be Villa of course). So once they accepted the bid and allowed us to talk to the player (agent), there isn't much the can do, except kepping him of course, which would not be good for any part.
  10. All these French signings have you speaking like 'Allo 'Allo Hahaha
  11. Bosko Balaban says hello! Not a fan of N'Zogbia and he has not lived up to his transfer fee or his wadges.I'm glad if we can move him, but don't think he is the worst by any means. He still stinks though In four years I can remember a free kick against West Ham and a pass to Delph against WBA. Never has a player contributed so little for so much. Worse than Balaban. Come on! We signed him for £5,5M in 2001 (wiki says 5,8), which back than was a huge transfer sum. And he "featured" (was invinsible) in 8 games for us.

  13. because we are speculating on a player there is a greater than 70% chance we will be acquiring Richard, I think it's more like 50/50. Either we sign him or we don't.
  14. He's literally just sitting in his backyard with a few mates too . Apparently that means he's not fit enough to play for us. But Grealish can be passed out in the middle of a foreign street but we expect him in the starting XI come August 8th. It's not just the photo though is it, it's the knowledge that he hasn't been playing and now isnt even training with Spurs first team No, but as said in this thread before... It is possiblem to prepare for the new season without training with Spurs. I mean how many season has i prepared for in his career, 10, 15? And he dosen't seems to be the type that drinks him selt back to the Stoneage everytime he has a chance.
  15. A bit disappointed but I can’t say I’m gutted. I knew this day would come and I was certain (50/50 ) he would leave this window. It was quiet about it this time around and didn’t force his way out. I just wish our great club 10-11 places higher up in the table last year. Then maybe, just maybe we could have kept him for a season or two until the real “Elite” Champions League teams would have looked to sign him. Now the bindippers who really are the “a half arsed club that used to be famous” J signed him which is really sad. I hope we invest the money well and replace him with someone with exceptional potential. We can’t afford (wages) someone who can fill his boots (with PL experience) from day one. So I think we should by one young, hungry and talented prospect (Benteke when he signed), and someone like Adebayor (experienced with something to proof). I know many of you are against it – I was to at first, but I think Adebayor could be the signing of the season. He obviously got massive talent and is a proven scorer and overall player at the highest level. If it’s a loan deal we have absolutely nothing to lose. If it doesn’t work out it’s not that big of a problem. If it does we have a really god player that has great relationship with Sherwood and would probably sign a new contract, if we want to keep him. I do not think other players would have a problem with him earning £100k a week because they know that Spurs signed that contract. I hope with our new management, even if we don’t get new owners we can start climbing up the table. I think midtable is possible next season IF we invest the Delph and Benteke money wisely. The team needs stability and confidence. And they need the supporters to be patient and behind them from day one next season.
  16. I have no problem at all with Adebayor if comes here for the right reason - Score goals and work hard for a manager he has good relationship with. I really doubt that he is the only striker we are looking to sign (if we indeed are looking to sign him). And with injury problems Gabby has (which make him really inconsistent), and with Kozak who hasn't played much football the last 12-15 months I am glad to get an experienced striker for free even if he is on £70k a week. If we at the same time sign a young player with huge potential I think we will be ok.
  17. Delph , ifyou leave you really are a GRADE A word removed!
  18. Except people are blaming the club and in any case they look like they've been fooled by a footballer.Really. Going by the consensus on Villa Talk id say about 10% are blaming the club, 10% are blaming nobody, and the rest have made Delph public enemy number 1. Talk Sport phone in's earlier suggested the same. Delph is that you? ;-)

    Carles Gil

We are playing well at the moment. But does it mean Sherwood can't do anything wrong? I would like Gil to get more chances. I hope Tim just wants more PL experience in the relegationfight and give him a go next season.
  20. Because loaning him out would give him game time so would attract more potential buyers? If he only has one year left on his contract his value will decrease very fast and I quess very few clubs want to loan him less than 6 months. And in Jan he can sign for any club he wants without United getting a penny. If the player refuses to join a club offering the £8m, then what choice do United have? Either a) keep him at United (and his value will inevitably decrease further), or take the Evernot loan and fee, which gets him off the wage bill and at leats gets a partial fee. Maybe better in the short run. But i suspect it will give them more problem next time a player isn't in the managers plans and think he can choose a loan deal an go for free as Bosman when his out of contract. Rather have him train i with the reserves. It's not like they can't afford thinking more long term then we did with very limited financial means.

  22. Why in the World would United accept a loan deal when they have a bid around £6-8M on the table? It's not like his wages going to be problem for them (if he is on something around 30k). I rather see them letting him train with the reserves than loaning him out when they have someone willing to take him of their hands, just to make an example. Especially when it seems like he is actually getting a better contract somwhere else.
  23. Again, sitting down with his agent and discuss his options doesn't mean his gone. I'm glad ge does! It means hes not stupid. After a WC like he had being 29 with one year left on his contract he would be daft not looking at his options. One option is naturally signing an extension with Villa.
