  1. Thing is it doesn't matter what he does in the transfer market, while we continue to play this **** awful one-dimensional brand of football and the tactics and substitutions continue to begger belief we can have Barcelona's team out there and we'd play shit. The man has to either get up to speed on his tactics or frankly piss off. No Plan B my lord... in every respect.
  2. It's his new trick. Last season it was take the left back off and move the right back to left back and play whoever at RB! He's the messiah dontcha know?!
  3. Spot on. I've held my tongue and held my patience with regards to MON since Blackburn Away last season, but it seems like nothing has changed. We're worryingly short of ideas and the transfer window - in terms of preparing us for the new season - has been a disaster so far. Yes, there's still 2 weeks till the window closes but the season has already started and we're not ready. That's not good enough. I thought losing Martin Laursen would be tough, but that we'd unearth someone to have a go at filling his boots. I was wrong. I thought Gareth Barry's departure would see us add more steel and mobility to our midfield, maybe even change our style of play. I was wrong there too. Tactically inept, and lacking in motivation. Very, very worrying. I can't argue with any of that. We were found out last season and he did **** all about it. Why should the stubborn **** change now?!
  4. They always say that the spine of your team should be strong. Well our spine is as weak is ****. Get some steel in there, some balls. Like many have said this is not based on one game, we played some gash football for most of last season, and we have been found out big time. MON needs to sort it out and sort it NOW!!! The hoof hoof hoof just doesn't work!?! I've said so for so long I sound like a feckin broken record!!!!
  5. Against all sense of logic, stats, form I've gone for top four. Reason? I thought 'ah **** it, why not!?' Realistically, before signings and Peace Cup I told friends we'd finish 8th. Now, after seeing the younger players show great promise, and confidence growing in the players generally, I realistically think 5th. But the delusional ever-optimistic in me says top four... ah **** it, why not!?
  6. IN honour of John Hughes, who has died earlier today from a heart attack whilst out walking in NYC, I recommend- Ferris Buellers Day Off The Breakfast Club Planes, Trains and Automobiles Uncle Buck Home Alone Weird Science John Hughes RIP
  7. General, Once again yourself, Randy and all involved in this club prove that the myth of Americans being clueless, just out for the green stuff is ridiculous. I have American family (my brothers wife is from Uniontown PA and her uncle works for the FBI at their HQ in Washington, and her aunt and cousin died in the Pentagon attacks on 9/11) and for me, your fellow countrymen and women have always been honorable, and have a real fascination and love of colonial history and a passion for upstanding that history, whilst being proud of your American roots. The way Randy, yourself and fellow American members of the Villa family have conducted yourselves has been no surprise to me, in that you absolutely have engulfed yourselves in the clubs history and have loved every bit of what we represent, and will continue to as well. Villa are in very safe hands with Randy at the helm. God speed a full recovery to you big man.
  8. Guzan, Clark, Cueller, Albrighton were brilliant. NRC played well, busy as usual, he just cannot pass to save his life. Sidwell, Licach played well. Same Shorey. Heskey was decent. The ones who was a bit of a let down were Carew and Young, for me. Good goal from Juve.
  9. What a **** joke. NRC taken out from behind and the word removed of a ref gives nowt. a foul just outside and its a pen to them! grrrrrrr!
  10. Immense from our youngsters tonight against a regular Champions League team. Admittedly a dirty cheating moaning diving team.
  11. My veetle feed has been immaculate. brilliant feed. Cueller is looking the central defender we hoped he was. See what happens when a player plays in his natural position?!
  12. I would think there'll be a minutes silence and black armbands wore tonight by both sides. Sir Bobby was respected globally and managed Porto successfully.
  13. Well I'm hoping that the players will take courage and confidence from the win and second half performance from the other night. Win lose or draw tonight, just do us proud boys.
  14. Sad news Nobby bout Sir Bob. Why couldn't it have been that sack of shit Freddie Shepherd heh!? Decent Geordie fans like yourself must be so **** off with the embarassment of your club atm.
  15. Albrighton was great in Moscow. Why the kid didn't get another chance til now is beyond me.
  16. I know it's a preseason but we look just so **** useless, bereft of ideas apart from lumping it forward. We are just **** clueless!!?!
  17. Christ do we need to get some players in and take a proper look at our style of play. Pre-seasons really don't bother me resultswise, but the style of football is still cack.
  18. Goodfellas for me. One of the few times I've left a cinema gobsmacked by the film I'd just seen. Simply an incredible film, made by a director and with actors at the very top of their game. Amazing film.
  19. I presume Albert Tattlock and Stan Ogden are investors in this conosrtium too?
