NRC's agent has said on SSN that it's ridiculous to say he wants stay in London but wouldn't say where he is going. I dunno why, but I got a fut feeling he's ours already. All the talk is of Tevez but West Spam started to pick up results when he was recalled to the team and began running their midfield. It was only last summer (or summer before) that Manure and the Arse both offered 10m for him. What I heard was the Spammers told him that if he stayed another season they'd allow him to move so he and his agent told said clubs this only for the spammers to go back on their word, which pissed him off hence the shite performances for alot of the season. No surprise that I feel is a promise of 'help us stay up and you can move' has resulted in some great later season performances and wow, a potentail move at the end of this season. I see him as potentailly a cockney Ian Taylor with a hint of the Viera about him. His game is similar IMO. He'd fit in superbly. The spammers will struggle like **** without him, moreso than the illegal immigrant upfront. This guy was captain of Wimbledon at something like 19, such was how much he impressed the manager. Says to me a player with a winning mentality. So he went off the boil at West Spam. It happens in any industry. And when your bosses lie to you your otivation will take a battering. When players talk about other players coming there has to be something behind it. Maybe this is the team telling us that they are not as worried as us about the disruptive nature of Bellemy? Also, it say's to me that Bellamy has spoken to a few of the Villa players too.

When MON became manager a few good Celtic fans came on the site and said that he will sign players that we may think are not worthy of the club, that he will frustrate us by not even dropping the tiniest of hint of who we sign, that he will not hesitate in signing players we do not like, but that in, I quote, 'the Messiah' we should trust. I don't give a flying **** about the fee, IF MON thinks player A, B, C or XYZ is good enough I will trust him. I always felt Petrov would take a good season to settle. I am surprised Maloney has settled so quick, mind he is english speaking as his natural language so I can understand. Ashley Young's form dipped due to expectation and the shift of moving to a bigger club. Carew has found it easy, but Norwegian players, like most scandanavians, settle into the english way of life easily, and he's been at enough big clubs to know what its all about. I have full confidence in MON to bring in players that, whatever level, he can get the best out of. Players seem to really raise their game for him. The mid[season blip? Well I put that down to small squad, the overhang of DOL, and well I would say the lack of a FULL preseason. And it's a dignificance that whilst Laursen was playing we never lost. Sorry to ramble a bit, but I look at 12m for Bellamy and yes whilst I find it a piss take by the redscouse, I won't moan if MON and Randy pay it to get him. Why? Because he would be who MON wants. MON likes Bellamy and Bellamy very much respects and likes MON. I think the 12m fee is paper talk to be honest. It'll be less than that I reckon. People seem to forget that the top clubs in Germany cannot match even midtable Premiership clubs as regards to wages, just like the French and Dutch leagues. Plus the Premier league as it's to be called now is a massive pull. The german league generally do not sign big players as the wage structure is pretty small compared to English, Spanish and Italian leagues. The factor for someone like Sneijder IF we bid would be our potential to qualify for europe quickly IF a bid was accepted. Bayern could offer a quick return to europe I feel but less wages, Valencia could do both but would they offer the right asking price. It could happen IF we persuded it strongly.

I posted this to the general a few weeks ago as I went into the club shop in the Pavilions and was amazed at the poor quality of the printing. Pink not claret and it was really bad creeen printed. Anyway, General, I was thinking earlier, When you say that the whole corporate bradn will change, does that include the font used on the lettering of ASTON VILLA etc.' on the DOug Ellis stand? as when one drives on the Aston expressway and looks at Villa Park, the font used is totally different to what the club seem to be pushing. So can we assume that the same font is used as a signage on that stand and throughout as is used at the training ground? 2. Getting my first season ticket in 2 years thanks to an influx of cash plus the real sense of 'BRIGHT FUTURE' from the new board, Martin er al. Many thanks!

Hmmm well the fact that more Man U fans live in the Midlands than Villa fans suggests to me that they are the biggest supported. Now IF we are toalking about biggest supported MIDLANDS teams, of course it's Villa.

Without doubt Ian, without doubt. The thing is with Spurs in particular, they are just another club in London, who live in the shadow of their neighbours, quite an awful situation to be honest. There will always be at least 2 teams from London better than them. We are the undisputed dominant force, not only in the Country's second City, but the Midlands region. When this ride that Randy has got us on hits its peak we will be supernova, I have no doubts. None at all. This, I believe, has a lot of people worried. Almost any of the big 4 would give for our location, dominance of a region and potential fan-base. Awaken the sleeping giant that is Aston Villa and a lot of things will change in this league. No doubts. Whilst I agree in principle I hate to go off topic, and hate to say it but we are not the biggest supported club in the Midlands. Not even close.... Manchester United are.

Well MBNA is based in cheshire so fair play on you General for not going the glory hunting path in that area in terms of team support. Needless to say you're now villa through and through!
