  1. Ahem, GN, N7 and NS here ;-) Okay then, I'm A Nexus kid ;-) Ordered it Friday. Arrived Saturday. Within 90 seconds of startup it updated to Jellybean. Great phone. Much love to Google.
  2. Pete Colley just said that Villa's interest with Dempsey is over after being told the player wants to go to Plop.
  3. Just ordered a Galaxy Nexus. To go with my Nexus7. I'm the Nexus kid!
  4. If we are looking at signing a target man then there's no point picking Bent. He can't work in a 4-4-2. He works up top on his own. This however means playing with wide players AND having midfield runners joining the attack. I actually think that where we are now Bent is a luxury item. I'd reluctantly sell him and get a proper strike partnership in that means that we play a more balanced team. In a 4-4-2 that isn't Darren Bent. Spurs and Sunderland found that out, and at Charlton they played with him up top and relied with balls over the top with supporting players with good engines. A problem in this current Villa squad.
  5. Heard Dither is spunking £14m on the Fletcher deal. Hmmm, dither spending over the odds on average players?! I sense dejavu.
  6. Connor I totally agree regards battery life. Can't wait to **** my HTC off due to the utter shiteness of the battery life.
  7. I would think the fact that giffgaff runs of the O2 network may have something to do with it.
  8. Now a Nexus 7 3G would be on interest. I'm on giffgaff so get unlimited tinternet. So when I'm out of a wifi area I just tether through my phone.
  9. Nexus7, where have you been all my life? Best buy I've made. A week in and I love it so much.
  10. After seeing it twice in normal cinema, I saw it in IMAX last night. There really is no comparison. It blows away the normal cinema screenings. Not just visually but the sound was incredible. Bane's voice was mixed so much better and consistant, but the overall sound, the subwoofering was superb. And it gets better with each watch. The key is that, unlike the first two which plant reality into them, this is Nolan doing a 'comic book' movie.
  11. My Nexus 7 turned up yesterday. Love it. easy to get flash working on it, it's faster than ipad3, quality build is great.
  12. Never was a 4hr cut, what you see is what was filmed, has been the same for all his batman films. Said himself no deleted scenes on the DVD because there are none. The initial cut Nolan showed Warner Execs was 4 hours long.
  13. Watch Ledgers Joker, then watch Jack Lemmon in the odd couple and some like it hot. You'll know what I mean. Especially his hospital scene.
  14. Briggaman I told you its better second time round. Buts no way near as good as The Dark Knight. I saw it in the double bill Tuesday and was reminded how terrific a film it is. The lagging I saw previously had gone, Ledgers Jack Lemmon indpired Joker is sublime, Gordan gets great screen time. But wow, Eckharts Dent is simply the best performance in the trilogy for me. A white knight to fallen idol. Superb. The rhythm of the film, the pacing, the breathimg of each scene, frankly, shits on TDKR from on high. I think TDKR is the product of Nolans decision to do no more and thus realise its Waynes film. Fine, no problem and Bale gives his best performance yet. But it really is to the detriment of nigh on every other character. Scenes are cut in too midscene or cut short. Very little is explained, or built up. Its big and brash but we never get to see the true danger from Gothams perspective. It feels they wrote then went 'oh shit, we need talia al guhl." I felt zero connection to her at all. It is a messy flawed film. Lacking in so many ways yet brilliant in others. It feels like a series of set pieces with bad editing to link these scenes together. Despite being 2hr 45min long, it feels heavily and badly cut. It actually needs Nolans original 4hour cut to allow scenes to breathe, have a beat about them. Only character I warmed to was Kyle. Hathaway nailed it. Sounds like I didnt like the film. I did like it. But it could have, should have been oh so so much more.
  15. One other thing. I saw the first showing as digital and second film. Digital was far better not just picture quality but richness, colour, lighting. Am saving imax til the crowd dies down. And I havent seen such queues for a film in donkeys years. Not in the days multiplexes.
  16. Seen it twice now. Think after the first showing of it that Chindie was spot on. I was a tad disappointed despite the cast really 'bringing their game'. Bales best performance to date, JGL I enjoyed. I thought Hathway was by far the best. She really did a great job as Selina Kyle. Hardy had the toughest task due to the mask but please Nolan if you are gonna use ADR for a masked character speak to Ben Burt please. Overall very good despite, I felt, clunky editing, directing, pace, and felt it actually looked overcut in places from Nolans original 4 hour cut. On secomd viewing it is much better. Mainly as I think I hadnt the hype surrounding it muddying my opinion. Found the pacing of scenes but better, appreciated Bales performance far more. He really is superb in this one. I appreciated Hardys performance more too. Hathway is even more a delight and the film really has a better rhythm on a second viewing. Its not Nolans best film by a mile. Not an oscar winner at all. But it is a very very good film and I recommend seeing it more than once to take it in. Oh, considering its on for nearly 3 hours, it absolutely zips by.
  17. Cineworld are doing a 5am but at 40 plus I just can't get my creaking bones up that early. 9.30am showing will suffice for me. Well that and 4.30pm showing.
  18. I'm doing extra freelance work so hopefully I make enough to get a new ST. Mind I want to preorder a Google Nexus 7 as well, so better get my finger out!
  19. Tickets booked for Batman Begins and The Dark Knight at Cineworld on Tuesday and Friday 9.30am, 4.30pm AMC showings of Rises. Saving Imax for when it calms down and decent seats are available. Cannot fookin wait. In Nolan we trust.

  21. This is what I am liking about Lambert so far. No messing around. Going about his business quietly, and looking at players with good sell-on value at reasonable prices. £3m for a 23 year old player with the potential to improve is much better than what £3m got us last summer- Alan Hutton.
  22. Like the home kit, love the away kit. That lime green with the dark blue work beautifully well together, oddly enough my company has just rebranded and I designed everything in the same colours. Looks a stunning kit. May be the first tike in years I but both home amd away.
  23. The twitching crook will end up at Chelsea after di Matteo **** up
