  1. How do his stats compare his stats compare with other DM’s. He isn’t good enough for a team looking to get in to Europe imo. Football is all about opinions though!
  2. Squad player imo, he isn’t strong or athletic enough to play as a DM. He also has a horrible habit of thinking he has all the time in the world on the ball.
  3. Seems a lot of fans see our business as done, other than a loan or 2. Purslow suggested we signed the 3 forward players to replace Grealish. So we have fans who think we wouldn’t have done much if any business, if we hadn’t have sold Grealish? Will be disappointed if we don’t go all out for a proper DM, can’t keep watching Luiz get outmuscled every week.

    Louie Barry

This is the type of bloke you want managing your young up and coming talent. He’s a good manager and Ipswich are a good club for him to learn his trade at.

Agree, Liverpool have a throw in coach, sometimes it’s the small details…
  6. Yes I do, only one GK made more saves in the whole league than Martinez, this is a horrible stat. Without Martinez and some great defending we wouldn’t have got more than 4/5 clean sheets imo.
  7. I’m impressed with the players we have got in to replace Grealish but completely agree regarding the midfield. It offered no protection to the defence last season. We need a proper DM not a hybrid version. I can’t watch Douglas Luiz get out muscled in every game again.
  8. He drifted out wide in loads of games last season and never looked comfortable, doesn’t look like he knows how to beat his man imo. I’m a big Watkins fan, think the kid is great but absolutely no reason to move him, he’s a centre forward and a bloody good one. Ings will play in the Barkley role imo and offer a lot more than he did. We have Young, Buendia and El Ghazi who can play left of a front three. I’m not saying it isn’t an option but he should be very much a last resort.
  9. Just saw a few pictures of him leaving the City training ground and he didn’t look like a bloke who was delighted to be there. Maybe the reality of it all has started to kick in, which is understandable!
  10. Didn’t say it was? Just stating he doesn’t look comfortable out wide, odd considering he was once a winger.
  11. Watkins doesn’t look comfortable out wide imo. I know he started as winger but can see why he was converted to a striker.
  12. Could be Grealish to be fair. We will probably need to sell him first before we spend any more money this window.
  13. Posted this last night mate, my daughter told me she was in the same bar as her.
  14. Unfortunately he will be playing with far superior players, he will flourish in the middle there
  15. Tammy is 100% more of a poacher than Ings. Don’t think he’s ever scored a goal more than 8 yards out. Ings scores all sorts of goals, he’s great in the air, good with both feet, presses well, can play as a 10 if needed. He pretty much ticks every box. Tammy isn’t a bad player but Ings has a better footballing brain and is a better all round player imo. Tammy also moans a lot when things don’t go his way, loves to throw his hands in the air, if someone doesn’t pass to him.
  16. Deserves to be outed for not sharing the info
  17. Your description of both players is the wrong way round mate.
  18. My Daughter has just informed me that Jack’s bird is out in Manchester tonight with Harry Maguire's sister and few other wags, didn’t waste any time. Never once was she mentioned until the last few weeks. Stinks of an agent trying to improve their profiles.
  19. Sure I read they have an option of another year. If he only has a year left he may as well stay there. Will play every week and then will have the pick of a few clubs.
  20. This makes so much sense, great signing imo. Even if he played as the number 10 he will offer more than, can barely move Barkley, fact!
  21. I’m nearly 50 but football is miles better now. Yes Sky dictates a lot but you have to move with the times. The players are better, the coaches are better, the stadiums are better, grassroots is better, the pitches are better. I can’t comment on Murdoch as a person as I don’t know enough about him but let’s not kid ourselves that football died in 1992.
  22. Agree it started with him in the team but I’m pretty certain he was feeling the injury in those games, his level of performance had dropped for about 3 games before he went out with the injury.
  23. It’s a terrible deal, he is the most marketable player in English football. He’s just reaching his prime, he’s our talisman, most likely earned us nearly £200m by getting us promoted and keeping us up, he’s English so carries a premium. Where you compare it to Coutinho it’s an awful deal. Like others have said it’s at least £30m light.
