  1. Whats the Vat made out of ? Ask Walter White
  2. This place is like the local pub used to be. Same old hard bastards at the bar who will knock you out if you play up, little cliques in the same seats up to no good on the side, the odd scrap, same clearings in the woods being clearings in the woods, regulars clear off for a bit then return, we lose some loved regulars as they slip of this mortal coil, sometimes you make an arse of yourself, all the nice birds are spoken for. But the beer is good.
  3. Following on from another thread: Tomato sauce/Daddies sauce on toast.
  4. I know what Mike means though, when you don't get what the rest of the sane planet gets. It's just not happening and that's all there is to it.
  5. Fixing my central heating blockage in 30 minutes with a Gallo Gun having read about them on the net and saving a shedload of money into the bargain. "I've fixed the central heating dear, took me all day..."
  6. It's old now but just to be sure - have you played the mod 'Research & Development'? No, just started 'Call In'. Looked at R&D a while back, looked very puzzle based. I like killing things. Yes, R&D revolves entirely around puzzles (although once or twice you kill things with the puzzles), so it feels a lot like Portal or the more claustrophobic parts of HL1. It is the same quality of Valve's own games in terms of level design, humour and entertainment, though, so anyone who owns HL2 and doesn't mind puzzles should definitely check it out. Strongest recommendation. Really enjoying this, reminds of HL1

  9. Half Life 2 mods 'G-String' and 'The Citizen'
  10. Dexter is fab all the way through. After each season you think there's nothing else they can do with the storyline and you're wrong again and again. On Season 5 at the moment. Completely agree, each season trumps the last. Breaking Bad Weeds Dexter All brilliant in their own special way
  11. Clicking 'WWE: General Chat' instead of 'General Chat' and reading the first couple of posts thinking I've missed something.
  12. The NHS recommends every 2 years for eye tests

  16. Truly great...seriously?! Besides any credibility for that song most likely is the result of Dylan. The song is almost a gospel standard tune and hence the footnotes for this were written long ago. Off the top of my head you want great bass playing fusing gospel, country, rock, bluegrass etc then listen to The Band and notably the parts played by Rick Danko. Here Flea, pretty much plays more notes in ninety seconds than through the entirety of that U2 song - And from one extreme to the other (the bass here is so much better than the U2 song from a technical point of view: more notes, swirling around the percussion and interlaced perfectly with the guitar) - Funk (after the initial 0.27) - Truly shit mate! Sarcasm just doesn't translate sometimes
  17. I didn't think it would be possible to make a mistake on an Adam Clayton bassline but the link I posted shows that he is so crap that he can. Why they left it on the finished article is anyone's guess. Have a listen again if you didn't catch it, he thinks the song is changing chord, goes for it, realises his blunder and skips back.
  18. Start at 3:28 and wait for 3:38 for some truly great bass playing
