  1. Yep any team built on a budget - will be 3 injuries away from disaster - we have 3 such this week. I would have taken a point today - even before the Delph Injury... Would you really accept that against a team of Fulhams calibre. That is a sad indictment if its true of where we are now. It's more of an indicator of just how bad our injuries are at the moment. You keep saying that but this is the worst team in the Prem we are playing who have just done the double over us. We ve broken so many losing records this year it shows its not just today its all season. We ve promoted nothing from our youth set up in the last few years or even given them a chance. We ve played a host of players out of position in numerous games including today when better options were available. Baffling substition after baffling substition is made. For every one step Lambert brings us forward he is dragging us back at least 2. I would honestly love for him to suceed with us but I can see very little in 2 years from him to think he will.

  3. I think today was also an example of how his failure to even try out some of our youth prospects in the last 2 years has hit us hard with a very weakened bench.
  4. Missed the game today through work. Was having a fit when I saw the score. But to be fair with all these players out today, there was never gonna be a positive result from this one really. There s no way if all of those players were fit they would be on the field together. Okore, Delph, Benteke, KEA and Gabby would and N'Zogbia and Kozak would be on the bench. Isnt that basically what I said.

  6. Yeah, he should've brought on Benteke, Gabby or Koza- Never mind. Or Robinson? Or deep in injury time not take off one of the best players on the pitch and maybe take off a defender instead. You know cause were losing and maybe want to score.
  7. I think most people would. Holt at best is going to be a stop gap till summer. Whats the point of pushing him ahead of players we want to develop and bring on. This would be the perfect chance to do that now or even give Andi a shot in his natural position. Holt might turn out to be brilliant but on the balance of probablities he wont be. I don't hate the guy and I wouldn't begrudge him coming on as a late sub but if Helenius is every going to be ready for the Prem surely he has to be given a chance. All this talk about him being seemingly not good enough smells of bullsh*t. From the little we ve seen of him he looks half decent.
  8. It would be soul destroying if Holt started.
  9. I thought Vlaar was poor today in open play. It looked like Rooney kept drifting over to his side and was finding piles of space in behind him. This meant that Clarke who was by no means brilliant had to keep cutting back to catch the runner. For the first goal Vlaar was badly out of position.
  10. How are you blaming Clark for that? He isnt the worst defender on display there by a long shot. Really.....who is then ? Well considering Bacuna gave away the peno, Bertrand played Fellani on for the goal when everyone pushed forward and Vlaar went completely missing for the first goal take your pick.

  12. came very close though IMO wasnt expecting it to happen and then also wasnt quite expecting her funbags to be that much fun, pleasant surprise all round! and the marvel character thing, its fairly well developed, been bubbling around for a couple of years now, they're trying to hire a director and writing it now, assume that it will be phase 3, which if they throw ant man in there too and again assuming guardians of the galaxy, means that when they do finally get round to fighting thanos it could be him vs around 20 heroes... again assuming based on what RDJ keeps bleating on about there wont be an iron man 4, thor 3 and CA3 are both confirmed, ant man takes up the IM gap, still no news of a hulk film, build them up and up and up, and then do civil war... sorry if that's spoiled anything for you, but really thats just the tip of the iceberg from what they already officially released also just seen that they are trying to get round using the word "mutant" in avengers 2, fox has the rights on the word in the marvel universe!
  13. Just saw The Winter Soldier. Really enjoyed it probably the best of the recent Marvel Films for me. I enjoyed it far more than the Avengers. For anyone seeing it there are 2 scenes at the end after the credits. Interesting that during the film there was a single scene were they mentioned 4-5 other Heroes that haven't been in movies yet. One was definitely Steven Strange.
  14. Listening to Brian Little in the liverpool game. He was telling how he told Doug to buy an 18 year old Craig Bellamy.
  15. And Sheamus wears a BOD rugby jersey
  16. Would it not be better for Villa if he chose Ireland over England. Very few Villa players get called up to the England squad and when they do they usually leave us. See Downing, Barry, Young. It seems to be the mentality that you have to play in one of the bigger teams to play for England. Also he would be under a lot less media pressure/abuse playing in the Ireland squad and would have a far better chance of becoming an Irish cult hero than an English one. And lets be honest its much more fun being an Irish one. So from a Villa point of view I definetely hope he stays with Ireland. And its nothing to do with me being Irish either. Honest.
  17. Well he basically became The Lord Commander because of his sons crimes.
  18. When the ball was played Neymar was clearly onside that's all that matters for that rule. Doesn't matter that he was offside for the initial pass as he was no where near the ball and not interfering with play. Basic rule of offside. With a better ref game would be long over.
  19. Its 8 episodes long. The second series, if they do make it, will contain a completely different storyline and characters. Each series is meant to be a self contained series. Or so I've heard.
  20. Only one episode of True Detective left. A strange mixture of excitment and sadness. I can't see how the second series could live up to it.
  21. Its a pity though he beats Randy clean then loses clean to Cena in his very next match. Kills a lot of his momentum.
