I'm trying to make the switch from roads to trails, so trying to ignore my pace but it's an ingrained habit. I'm getting better but I can't help checking it. When I'm on the road it's still all about pace and distance covered. I am really enjoying the nature on the trails but those hills are hard work.

That was my question also. A quick google suggested it's a fashion brand for people who look like they should be in prison.

You would hope it would be rammed with an electric atmosphere whether it's cheap or not, but agree anyway as we need to make sure we have every possible advantage.

That sucks. I was reading a couple of days ago that although the initial decline in running fitness is pretty fast, it slows pretty quickly, so since you've been out a couple of weeks already, the further time out now won't set you back loads further. May be some consolation. Anyone use compression socks / tights? I've noticed a lot of people talking about / using them recently and wondering if it's worth it.

Yeah I guess it's all good. I've been going up 6 times a week until recently, trying to cut it down to 5 runs a week but increase the length of my weekend runs, as well as moving them from the roads to the mountain trails. Done a lot of snow running this winter, it's a hard slog.

Has anyone else been through a point where it feels like running stops being a hobby and starts to be an addiction? I feel like I'm becoming pretty obsessed at the moment. I'm not sure it that's a good thing that will help me run better, or whether it's unhealthy to plan your entire life around a training plan.

I'm living in S Korea at the moment and went to 4 events. Most of the locals I spoke to weren't uninterested, but they were just put off by the ticket prices. I know quite a few people who went to the Olympic Park and host 'cities' for a day to be 'a part of it' but wouldn't shell out the $40-$60 that most of the basic tickets cost. They also didn't care about the non-Korean athletes. I can't remember seeing a single event with no Korean athletes covered on TV, apart from the Ice Hockey gold medal game. At the curling I was at the Korean team finished early and half the stadium left immediately, no interest in seeing the 3 other matches still continuing.

Not posted in a long time, but seems worth leaving this here. The situation in the UK is clearly very different from much of the rest of the world but statistics like this are a reminder of why this is such a huge issue. I've lost count of the number of girls who have died in Nepal in the last 12 months as a direct result of chaupaid (being forced to sleep in a barn or cowshed during menstruation).

Right, I'm out of here for the night. I'm feeling pretty upset to be honest and if I hang around it won't be long before is start childish name calling and insults. I'll just say this. It isn't only about the economy for me, it's about how we view the world and the world views us. I believe this signals that we don't like foreigners, we don't want to work with others, that we believe we're special and superior to the rest of the world. That doesn't reflect me. Tomorrow there will be lots of people declaring we've taken our country, but I've never felt mor alienated from the country of my birth. I've well ans truly had my country taken away from me tonight.

They won't, out is out. It would be decades before we could even apply to rejoin realistically, and it takes another decade to negotiate entry. They will never have a say in this, and certainly not before their working lives and future prospects are settled.

Some believe that. They think we'll trade more with the rest of the world, and without the nasty immigrants stealing our money we'll all be richer. Mostly, I believe, they are voting because they believe in the good old days and that they can go back to them. Our economy will be screwed, I have no doubt whatsoever of that.

But foreign investment will start to scale back before that. Long term confidence will be down, companies will scale back spending, think twice before recruiting. That will all happen straight away.

I work in primary schools, as a supply teacher. Even at that age I've seen a lot of children very interested in this, and asking some intelligentand reasonable questions. Some 16 and 17 year wouldn't use their vote responsibly, but the same in true of many adults.

Do you think adults have been immune to that? I think huge proportions of people are influenced by social media, or even worse, the sun. Academic now anyway.

Whether the young voted in or out isn't the point, it's that the results will effect their lives, for better or worse, and they haven't had a say in it. They may have voted out, we'll never know, but would have meant they had a say in their future.

I'm not saying we should take the vote away from pensioners, that clearly isn't workable even if I thought it was fair. But it could have been given to 16 and 17 year old. They are as capable of understanding the issue as most of the country, and will ultimately be the most effected.

I do find it very unfair that pensioners, that in truth only have a few years left, can swing this vote, well 16 and 17 year old who have the most to gain / loose get no say.

Official result is 7 am, but we'll likely know before that.

Worcester 55% out. That was meant to be a close one, and having walked around worcester town today I was feeling optimistic about a remain vote after seeing a lot of in stickers in windows. I'm thinking about moving my money to my Nepali account, it may be less volatile

Immigration is definitely a big part of it. The media have spent so long relentlessly portraying foreignersas bad guys that there can be no common sense on the issue. There also seems to be a lot of people rebelling againstthe establishment. I can't see any sense in that, as both sides are being run by the establishment, and people should be able to see that this is so much more important than letting Cameron know that you think he's a clearing in the woods,
