While the Spanish team fell out of favour with Villa over a dodgy medical, it seems that the young French left wing-back has another suitor. According to Telefoot journalist, Julien Maynard, it would seem that European hotshots Monaco are after Amavi. Julien Maynard ✔ @JulienMaynard Après échec transfert Seville, J. Amavi poursuit sa prépa à Aston Villa. Contacts avec Monaco et autres clubs. Rien de concret pour l'heure. 11:37 AM - Aug 1, 2017 Now, as Maynard says - there’s nothing concrete, but it is interesting to see that Amavi is being looked at by a number of clubs. We expect Amavi to stay at Villa until the end of the window. Amavi is a good player, but he’s also perfect ‘panic buy’ material and is set to be a deadline-day signing for a European club. It might not be Monaco, it certainly won’t be Sevilla. That being said, don’t be too surprised if Amavi is still with Villa by January.
  3. https://www.avfc.co.uk/News/2017/08/01/season-ticket-update Season Ticket update: Cards continuing to be sent out to supporters Your season cards for the upcoming campaign will be with you very soon. Our junior editions have now all been sent out and will be arriving with young fans very soon. Our adult editions are continuing to be posted out. Fans – adult and juniors – who purchased their season ticket on or after Tuesday July 11 will have their packs posted on Wednesday via first class mail. This process has been later than we both expected and hoped. However, this was due to the new technology contained within the card as we become one of only two clubs to utilise these innovative tools. Your season card doesn’t just get you into the stadium this season. You can top up cash on to your card which you can then use at any of the contactless payment terminals around Villa Park. Don't worry - it is not automatically linked to your bank account, you have full control over activating the card and the amount you upload. You also now have a Fan ID but don’t worry this is exactly the same principle as having a Client Reference. Basically, you’re now part of ‘The Pride’. The main benefit of being a member is access to our new loyalty scheme - Pride Rewards. Pride Rewards is our new points-based loyalty programme, replacing Villa Cash at the start of August. Pride Rewards will aim to reward you for how you interact with the club... by attending games, spending cash that you've topped up on your season card or even engaging with us on social media. In essence you can 'roar for more' - the more you do, the more points you'll earn. Those points can then be redeemed against a range of special rewards... experiences, competitions and memorabilia. As a season ticket holder, you'll be rewarded with a special start-up balance depending on the number of years you've consecutively held your season ticket!

  10. Absence explained Ritchie De Laet’s mysterious absence from this summer’s pre-season schedule has been revealed. The 28-year-old, who missed seven months of action last term, has picked up another injury. But rest-assured - it’s not serious, is in no way related to the knee and hamstring problems of last season, and is just days away from fully healing. It was a fortnight ago when De Laet broke a bone in his wrist following a training-ground challenge. http://www.birminghammail.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/aston-villa-live-rumours-bruce-13391834

  19. http://sportwitness.co.uk/aston-villa-transfer-set-last-minute-change-player-dodges-medical/ Aston Villa transfer set for last minute change, player skips medical, €7m move agreed, Nothing with Aston Villa midfielder Jordan Veretout is ever going to be simple, and his transfer to Saint-Etienne is looking that way. On loan at the French club last summer, Veretout was this week the subject of encouragement form Oscar Garcia to join the French club, and it looked like the manager had got his way. Garcia had telephoned Veretout to talk him into the move, and after a period of reflection, the Aston Villa player agreed. L’Equipe say Veretout was expected at Saint-Etienne today for a medical and to sign a four year contract, but didn’t show up for the tests. The reason for that is interest from Fiorentina, with Veretout seemingly more attracted by the Serie A club. Italian journalist Alfredo Pedulla is claiming an exclusive that Fiorentina have already agreed a deal to pay Aston Villa €7m, and Veretout will sign a contract for five seasons. It’s presented as a done deal
