  1. I'm not convinced they even know what they are saying, so yes, education might actually work in this case. It's just not nice to hear it
  2. Booing isn't racist, monkey chanting is. What I heard last night was mostly monkey chanting, it was clear and audible. The cameras even showed a group of them doing it. Whistling during national anthems is disrespectful but shouldn't be punished in my view. England have been charged with this and not having enough stewards. It's almost as if UEFA are trying to even it out. I didn't see any security escorting these guy's out last night, they just seemed to walk out in their own. I also didn't see that many Bulgarian stewards
  3. Much more articulate then Darren Bent in the sky sports studio, needed subtitles for that
  4. Isn't Akinfenwas clothing label called Beast Mode
  5. Yes i've just found the lyrics, not a good advert for Aston Villa. Eventually these idiots will get old and die
  6. Oh ok, I've not heard any unsuitable McGinn chants but I've not checked you tube
  7. I'm assuming the Club Statement relates to the Konsa chant, not sure who the other player is.
  8. Yes obviously, but the general consensus was humour. Comedians can get away with many things in their art. I'm not on social media for many reasons, one of which is how easy it is to offend someone but perspective is needed here. I detest racism but the ability to not offend someone is impossible
  9. I think maybe he should have whatsapped him. Putting anything like that on social media will always cause an 'outrage' I don't remember the same 'outrage' against Charlie Hebdo, or is that because that is satirical
  10. If Brighton go down to 10 men then I'm going to bed. David Craig doesn't have a clue and sky sports stats aren't worth much more either. Jules said we've had 15 attempts at goal but there own stats only say 9.
  11. Disappointing to lose that, dominated a top 5 side for large parts of the game. Some of the comments on here are laughable, overreaction seems to be a Villa fans default. You forget how **** we used to be. Yes, Deano made a few mistakes today, Davis should have replaced Wesley earlier and I'm assuming Trez was tired so that's why he went off. One Arsenal player single handedly dragged them back into that game and that was Guendouzie. The rest of em look average, even when there was 11 of em. We will improve, no-one gets relegated in September, have some faith ffs cos I'm sick of reading the same old **** on here
  12. I don't have a particular issue with educating offenders, but unless you live on Mars there is no reason not to already know that using the word monkey to a black person isn't suitable. I was born in the 70's when certain prime time TV programmes used to get away with murder so I've been exposed to many inappropriate sayings when I was young. I didn't think they were suitable then and that hasn't changed now.
  13. No worries, I'm no expert but possibly something along the lines of what has happened with fans. Life bans or multi season bans.
  14. Not if they are trying to eradicate the problem. I accept it's a punishment but not a suitable one
  15. Tricky subject this one, either Beardsley is guilty or he isn't. I don't buy the 'education is needed' response, you are either racist or you aren't. A child may have 'I didn't know' to fall back on but this shouldn't be used for adults. You are not born racist, you either learn it from your parents or you learn it from your peers. If Beardsley has been found guilty of racist comments then an 8 month ban isn't sending the right message. You may as well say drink driving is ok cos you didn't know alcohol affects your ability to drive. Kick it Out calling for punishment and education is an insult to who they are supposed to represent. Punishment is what is required and an 8 month ban is not a punishment.
  16. Our passing in final third was awful, Marvellous wasn't and why wasn't Noble booked for diving in the penalty area eh? Defence were great, no obvious mistakes that I can think of and I wish we still had Tammy Abraham. Not angry, just a little disappointed
  17. Just seen incident in the Leicester v Bournemouth game, shocking challenge by Leicester player, ref gave nothing. VAR reviewed and agreed with the ref. Proves that it's just there to agree with the ref. Studs up ankle breaker too
  18. I was watching Soccer Saturday before game and they were slating VAR, mainly because so far it hasn't reversed any bad decisions by the refs. It's only confirmed decisions they have made. This isn't what VAR is supposed to do. Anyway, shocking performance only made worse by a shocking ref. Sadly he will be back next week reffing some other game into oblivion.
  19. Excellent team, mixing it up a bit. Easily good enough to win this game comfortably.
  20. Conceded fair amount of possession but Everton did very little with it. Apart from hitting the post. I thought we played excellent, the line up changes made a difference and Wesley scored, very happy Villa fan now looking for underpants and off outside to scare the neighbours
  21. Take the ball into the corner, nah I'm gonna take it into the net
  22. I'd take a point with an improved performance. A win will have me running around the streets in me underpants
