  1. His technique is OK. I just think he should have noticed by now that when the guy he is aiming for (mostly Kozak) heads it down, there is nobody within 10 yards to pick it up, so it goes straight back to the opposition, which puts Guzan back under pressure within 10 seconds.... (PS: I know my kommas are placed badly )
  2. Commanded the box very well today. But...he has to work on his distribution! He is one of many players contributing to the unattractive Hoofball we are playing. Every time he lanches the ball up the pitch it ends up with the opposition winning it...this is very frustrating! In my opinion he should play more short balls to be sure that we acctually have a chance of building up an attack.
  3. Red Bull Villa anyone?

  4. To be fair he was busy saving Lunas' arse all game...
  5. Will all of you who are defending Lambert just STFU please! He's shit, his tactics are shit and so are his "young and hungry" players!
  6. someone please tell these idiots that if Kozak is meant to head the ball down, there has to be a player near him to pick it up! We can't even play proper hoofball
  7. Saw this on Facebook ? https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=693687367342002&set=a.693685974008808.1073741958.101566839887394&type=3&theater

  9. Why do so many people want Lescott? He's got a real dickhead personality, which in my opinion wouldn't do the lads a favour. On the other hand he is very competitive...but not enough so to balance out the negatives. See what I mean? Richards would be a great addition IMO. Great guy! EDIT: There is another video where they armwrestle eachother. That one outlines my point a bit more visually I think...
  10. I missed the match against Southhampton and that was it. Hiding behind my pillow because the performances have been awful.
  11. @Keyblade My opinion is yet to be disproved. Stats? Gifs? I'm listening....
  12. Pros: - Sideways passing Cons: - Tackling - Strength - Set pieces - Moving forwards with the ball Conclusion: --> Shite
  13. Pack yer bags mate. If it was up to me you'd get a 1 way ticket to the bomb squad!
  14. Hope he turns out to be the new Berbatov!
  15. I enjoyed watching us play during the second half of last season but the football we've been playing this season just gets me annoyed. The passing game we started playing after christmas was working quite well and I can't see us winning anything playing hoofball against medicore teams. We should be trying to dominate play, keep the ball and wait for the opportune moment to slot a through ball into space. Our current football seems to rely either on the oppositions defenders cocking up or is getting away with a counter arttack. The counters will only be fast enough if our defenders/CDMs rapidly attack the attacker in posession of the ball. Sadly, this is not happening. Our defenders seem to wait until the attacker tries something to get around them instead of pressing. The opposition have too much time on the ball around our box, something our strikers never seem to have. Sylla and Delph are the only players who go straight in there. This should be their main objective week in week out. Obviously Benteke is going to get less space and time on the ball because he is getting doubled every match. This is meant to be countered by our players making clever runs to draw the defenders away from CB. According to many people on here, this is one of Weimanns strengths. In his current form, he is not able to concentrate on this. Instead, he is trying to make the chances himself. To our frustration (and possibly his own aswell) he does not posess the technical nor the mental ability to convert such chances into goals. My conclusion is that Paul Lambert needs to focus on the strengths of the players and alter his tactics acording to them. For the cardiff match I would like to see something like this: Guzan Lowton Vlaar Clark Baker Sylla Delph Bacuna Tonev Helenius Benteke In addition I think Tonev should take the corners whipping them in aiming for an assist instead of floating them in with the aim of heading the ball down before being forced over the line. Bacuna and tonev both have the ability to cross or cut in and go for the shot. I see a little bit of Berbatov in Helenius and think he might just do well playing behind CB. Longest text I've ever posted ^^ Ps: Sorry for the missing commas!
  16. Sh*t. Offers nothing on the ball. No composure, No pace, No heading, No ability to beat a man.
  17. Bannan is actually doing quite well. He got 2 good crosses in and won the ball well to prevent a counter attack.
  18. Week after week it takes us at least an hour to build up momentum...
  19. Commentators almost jizzing off about Townsend drives me crazy. The "England Star" (with 2 caps) put on another inspiring performance...BS!!! Kozak shite Weimann more shite Westwood complete and utter shite! Good to see Benteke back! Tonev looked promising! Guzan: 6.5 Bacuna 7 Vlaar 6.5 Baker 6 Luna 6.5 KEA 5.5 Westwood 3 Delph 7.5 Weimann 4 Gabby 5.5 Kozak 4.5 Benteke 7 Tonev n/a Guzan needs to stop hoofing them up the pitch!!! We lose posession 9/10 times it hurts my eyes to watch! Luna letting Townsend do what he wants... Westwoods set pieces are awful. His drilled corners will never come off. Not 1 quality chance from our side...says enough I'll get the Whiskey out anyway though....
  20. Imo, winning instinct is doing everything necessary to win. If that means going down quickly and wasting time, then so be it. ie. I would have preferred Helenius to go down after his shorts got pulled down, thus winning a penalty, instead of doing the "right" thing and getting his shot away.
  21. 2:1 Win over Spuds tomrrow.. (19' Benteke; 71' Gabby)
