So funny. Safely in 6th place only for Lil Boehly to sabotage the entire season. Architects of the own demise. They'll do well to draw 6,000 fans now, let alone 60,000.

Luiz has been a workhorse for us, he's one of the leaders on the team, he's become close to elite under Emery, but has hit a patch of reduced effectiveness that in my view is a combination of being overworked and played in a suboptimal position. There's also a natural ebb and flow of form that all players experience. Douglas is no different. Which isn't to say he shouldn't be subject to criticism. It comes with the territory and salary, frankly. That's part of the deal. You play in a crucible. But I'll never understand people who can switch from adoring a player who has been critical to our recent success to insulting his dignity as a human being over a bad game or run of bad games.

If they put Tom Brady in goal, they would probably win. He can bend reality to his will, I've never seen anything quite like him. But that won't happen, so they will lose and get relegated.

If Spurs beat Liverpool, that will suck. BUT, if we beat Brighton and then beat Liverpool ourselves, we will finish third if we beat Palace and Liverpool lose to Wolves.

Brighton dealing with a lot of injuries. Winless in last 5 games. Nothing to play for either. This will be the least difficult game left. Have to take all three points.

While on sertraline I made a number of impulsive, stupid decisions and choices. The biggest one I'll be living with for the rest of my life. The medication was a false dawn for me. It tricked me into thinking it was the silver bullet I was looking for to solve all my problems. But ultimately it made things worse.

Everything was more aggressive and positive about him after the goal. Even his celebration. I really hope he can channel that kind of energy more consistently throughout games and seasons. A passive Diaby defeats the whole purpose of signing Diaby.

Douglas was arguably our player of the season until his legs went a month ago or so. I hope people disrespecting him now don't forget how integral he's been to our success since Emery joined up. He's been poor for weeks but if we hadn't lost so many players to injury and suspension, I'm certain he'd still have reserves in the tank. But it's been clear for a while that he's been running on fumes. I'm not sure Emery has had better options, though so here we are. We need to rally 'round Douglas, and the players and back the manager to craft a winning gameplan for the return leg. 2 goals gets us level. We can do that. If it goes to penalties, we'll have the best back between the sticks. Nobody got hurt out there and nobody is suspended for the return leg. And Spurs lost. We still have everything to play for and now is the time to channel our positivity right into the team. Have faith, Villans!
