  1. Am starting to think that we will need two windows until we have a squad that can compete in the premier league.
  2. We can get a goal back, but we need some attacking subs.
  3. Remi has played it cool so far to get us some confidence and stabilize things, but today he must go on the attack. That said I expect the same team as West Ham but maybe an attacking player to replace Sanchez...
  4. Tim said that all the facials came from Almstadt and Reilly.
  5. I'll be happy with a point, got to get to Jan window without losing. 3 points would be magic.

    Adama Traore

Ayew is the example that the rest of the team need to emulate - if Traore could just do what Ayew does he would be a hell of a player.
  7. Going on the last two games I think the players do have some belief that they can compete in games. Just need that one win for them to believe they can actually win games. This is a long way from where Sherwood left them, in quite a short amount of time so hats off to Remi if he can keep it going. Just need to replace about 5 players in Jan with quality upgrades and we have a shot.
  8. I wonder if Remi will get his no.2 Bastesticle or whatever his name was in Jan...
  9. If Remi could somehow upgrade Hutton, Bacuna, Sanchez, Gestede and Sinclair and sell Gabby and Nzog - we would have a shot. I have a weird feeling that Randy will buy whoever Garde wants. Edit - Oh and Guzan.
  10. Ditching Gabby and Nzogbia, dropping Grealish, getting performances from Veretout and Ayew - this is all progress.
  11. Ayew's defending today was ace, the amount of times he ran back to deep inside his own half and stole the ball summed up his commitment to the team and his will to win. If anyone deserves a victory soon it is him.
  12. Happy with Garde. We were in intensive care when he came, now we are stabilized. He now has the January window to boost the squad. I can't imagine us staying up but I get the feeling we will keep improving.
  13. 20 games to go - a point a game average sees us up to 28 points, convert some draws to wins and we have a shot. Need to get to the window without losing and I think Remi can plug some gaps (dirty bugger).
  14. David Cameron will be a bit conflicted watching this.
  15. What I mean is that IF (yes a huge gigantic IF) we beat West Ham - not Barca, not Man Citeh, but West Ham, IF we beat West Ham, we hit 10 points - then go away to Naarwich and then Sunderland - possibly with a spring in our step. So IF we beat West Ham, the battle to stay up, is on. Lose or draw and I think we are sort of done. And to be fair look at Watford now, not such an easy game in hindsight...
  16. Beat West Ham and it's on. Lose or draw and it's off. simples.
  17. Aye, I am positive too. I think Remi knows that we are down, so all he is aiming for in the short term is just some frekin performances from his players. When we see a team that Remi has full confidence in, is when we start getting it right.
  18. Supernova, nothing wrong with some good trolling, you explained yer point, fair enough. But like some undercover Met officer, when do you cross over from a blue nose to a disgruntled villa fan? You are almost one of us.
  19. You said that Gabby and Nzog make things happen. You said that Gabby and Nzog make things happen. You said that Gabby and Nzog make things happen.
  20. Actually Supernova, wait a mo, not bonkers but a bluenose, you just said that gabby and nzog make things happen - you either do not watch villa or are on the complete wind up.
  21. Well, I think it is. We are on 7 points because that is all we have deserved. Sod any team near us. If we want to stay up, then it is up to us.
  22. Viila's future is in Villa's hands - where everyone else is in terms of points is not going to keep us up or relegate us - we will decide that. I saw, possibly for the first time today, a Villa, led by Ayew, competing in the premier league. It was not pretty, we did not have any flair, but I felt we tried really hard, Ayey exemplary. We obviously need wins, but I think what Garde stands for has today just taken some form.
