  1. I really want this to get to 1000 pages before he is sacked. Don't know why.
  2. Guaranteed 3 points to prolong the pain
  3. We really are approaching end game here, Tony has had to give it time, anything else would be detrimental to his relationship with round and wyness but even they will be questioning the chances of promotion this term.
  4. I'm gonna label the new guy whoever they are as sh*t from day 1 and then come on here bragging when they get sacked. Can not fail.
  5. Oh here we go, let's start blaming EVERYONE. Give it a rest.
  6. To be honest I think tony has to go on instinct, we just need a fresh start
  7. Massive job, we might as well gamble on clotet
  8. No I mean patience for the new guy. This will take time.
  9. And some patience please from the fans.
  10. He's the sort of player you always remember playing against you, always involved.
  11. I would recommend this site, FFP has been completely tightened, if you are found out you will lose your advantage - there simply is no more cheating it: http://www.financialfairplay.co.uk/financial-fair-play-explained.php But what are the potential punishments? Previously the Football League has only been able to either; fine promoted clubs (a fine the Premier League didn’t help them collect), or impose a transfer embargo for historic overspending (which always like a stable-door/horse scenario). With this change, a wide range of punishments are now available. Nothing is off the table; the Football League are now able to impose a points deduction during the current season, or demote a club from an automatic promotion position into the play-offs (or out of the play-offs altogether). Transfer embargoes are also available (with the earliest one potentially applying during the Summer 2017 Transfer window
  12. I know. We won't know what to do with ourselves with 7 games in a month as of Saturday - can't ferkin wait!
  13. I also read that from now on, as accounts are put in for scrutiny in March, that penalties will be announced before the season ends, and penalties now include points or disqualification from promotion or play offs. In other words there's just no getting around the rules now. Would love to know how they have got down from £120 mill to £83 mill.
  14. Having done some amateur sums in the FFP thread, it does appear that Tony has spent the absolute maximum he is allowed so far, and has been completely hamstrung by the losses incurred the last two seasons of the prem. We also are yet to see what sponsorship advantages he has brought in, there will be no accounts reflecting how he operates the business until next Spring. If we stay down again, I think his plan next summer will be hugely designed by FFP (i.e. 13 mill max overspend a season) as such I can definitely see him playing a more patient game and probably with a new Wagner esque manager, mostly playing the yoof. He should probably go the whole hog and get some promising Chinese players in too.
  15. So with this news from John Percy that we are now doing ok with regard to FFP, I was hoping that someone who knows all about it can shed a little light. Villa were teetering on the edge of the stringent new rules on February when the deficit stood at £81.3million - with clubs allowed to post losses of £83million. http://www.birminghammail.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/reports-summer-sales-help-aston-13572625 Thought I would simplify this post from what it was - 2014/15 - £26 mill loss 2015/16 - £81 mill loss 2016/2017 - approx £13 mill loss (after being given the summer window to comply) We are specifically allowed to lose £83 million over the last three seasons total. We have lost £120 mill, even being conservative. I haven't the foggiest how Tony has clawed that back to £83 mill, even after player sales. Maybe there is some creative sponsorship afoot after all...
  16. Is this a large part of the reason he is still in charge?
