  1. What about folks turning every thread into a Bruce Out thread? Is that not off topic?
  2. Mate, we all feel roasted at one time or another, and I agree it is not nice. I don't think anyone is being unfairly treated but all I am saying is that this huge frustration with the manager has gotten worse since the bristol result simply because it extended his stay and that has increased frustration. That frustration is spilling into every thread, and people are so spoiling for a fight in order to unleash that frustration that we're getting daft vitriol in places like the Wyness thread. It's getting out of hand, and to be honest it's making VT less fun. But so be it, it's how people feel, and I don't wish them to feel otherwise - just pitying that all sorts of moderate discussion is off the table at present.
  3. I don't know if anyone else has noticed but this thread and many others are dominated by Bruce Out rhetoric. If @TRO is putting his head above the parapet putting forward a moderate opinion about the manager, then I imagine he is doing so because he feels this thread would be a bit pointless otherwise. He is bound to be shot down, but just because there are a few loud and prolific anti Bruce posters, that does not represent the full picture, it is an echo chamber. There are many people who are not of that opinion but simply can't be bothered to be the target of all the negativity by saying anything about it. VT is poorer for it.
  4. Willing to give SB time - I know why he should go, but am looking at the table, and 3 points separates us and 7th. Bristol was much better than Reading and Cardiff. If it goes into reverse again, then no way back for mr potato. Only sharing this as I can't think of a single Bruce out comment that hasn't yet been made. Slag it off at will!
  5. Snodgrass already said in interview he fell out at Wet Spam as he was played on the left - won't play there this season.
  6. Johnstone RDL - Terry - Chester - Taylor Whelan Onomah - Hourihane Snodgrass - Kodjia Davis
  7. I think Elmo will be a regular on the bench, able to cover RB or RW.
  8. Got a good feeling about this signing, the timing is excellent and he wants to prove himself, plus he is proven quality in the prem. Will have to be pencilled for the centre, as otherwise Adomah becomes obsolete and that makes no sense given his record last year.
  9. As it's unanimous in here there's no longer any debate - this thread gonna dry out...
  10. Must go's: elphick mcoremack gardner richards hutton
  11. Well ta for that, puts it much better than I did. Thought for a moment I would need an extra layer of Bacofoil! Re Xenophobia - yeah fair point, I only threw that out there as often some sly little digs are thrown which on refelection are very much unwarranted and you do wonder if they are a substitute for something else, but if not on this occassion then entirely fair enough.
  12. That it is being used to cast doubt over a good guy, for no good reason. BTW, from the looks of this, EVIL Chris Samuelson has been busy aiding and abbetting untrustworthy foreigners all over the shop. Not that it is his profession or anything. Socfin congratulates Tony Xia on his purchase of Aston Villa Football Club from Randy Lerner and was pleased to have negotiated and arranged the transaction on his behalf. Socfin was appointed exclusive advisor to Yunyi Investments in January 2016 on choosing and arranging the acquisition of an English Premier League club that culminated in the Yunyi led consortium acquiring West Bromwich Albion from Jeremy Peace in August 2016. We wish the Yunyi consortium members every success. Socfin is acting as advisor to investors seeking to acquire European football clubs in England, Spain, Italy and France and has also been appointed by owners of clubs in the top two leagues of these countries to handle the sale of their clubs. http://socfin.ch/latestnews/
  13. Fair enough, so what's the hang up on this tweet by Tony about a guy who isn't here anymore that is being used to cast doubt over the owner? That tweet has been completely misinterpreted and now used to bash the Dr.
  14. Well yeah, Tony would need a UK entity with which to operate a U.K. football club. And yes, Samuelson is an international financier who was central to the whole process until it was done. If that is not the case then what is? Can anyone actually tell me why else Samuelson left?
  15. What do you think pre May 2016 Recon is? What do you think Recon UK is? Which one of these companies is Tony referring to in that tweet?
  16. Xia said 'No more rumors! Chris and the Socfin helped the takeover and we paid for service. Never was related to Recon!' How can that statement mean what you think it means?
  17. I won't put up with lazy xenophobia which is running rife behind some 'opinions' disguised as simple criticisms. There is nothing the good Dr has done that you can get at him for, he hasn't put a foot wrong - and you'd think there might be a tad more appreciation of that.
  18. The fact upon which you are basing your entire opinion of Tony on, is not a fact, regardless of how many times you spit it out stating it to be one. You think Recon Group UK is what exactly? It was incorporated May 2016 - it was a brand new UK company set up which then purchases Villa - all owned by Tony. Samuelson is added as a Director - why? So that he has the executive authority to run the transitional company while Tony is abroad (you know, running Recon group) and the sale goes through and when all is done he moves on. What part of this is incorrect?
  19. You should ask yourself why this perceived mistruth outweighs in your mind everything tony has done for the club.
  20. Samuelson was a director at the new company that purchased villa while the process went through. He subsequently departed. He was a financier, he continued to be a financier and he still is one. He was not a director at Recon. Try reading Tony's tweet again.
  21. 1) they are not facts 2) they are your opinion 3) you'd get more sympathy on breitbart
  22. Oh god, Xia has not lied about a single thing. And as for the dramatic unearthing of company documents from this shady Chinese network, you realise anyone can go on to companies house and look up directors? Keep believing the conspiracies, life is easier that way.
