  1. Could have been the day we all question the long term form guide, but it wasn't. Nothing so far is saying anything other than we finish the season either 4th or 5th, and United 6th. Come on Brentford!
  2. That was testament to what Unai does with a squad, no McGinn, no Mings, no Kamara, no Ollie for a second half, no problem.
  3. I don’t back starmer but I would point to Gordon browns plan for the future published in an article for the guardian today, once Labour win then this sort of thing can be adopted.
  4. what I’d give for a rhianna lap dance
  5. There's a campaign by queer artists to force olly alexander to drop out - cos Israel - personally I don't agree with that at all, we all know how eurovision works and if people disagree with a country they get nil points. Gotta say though they've hardly played the Uk entry on the radio, compared to last year, are we worried it's a bit shit?
  6. Glad to see Ireland joining South Africa's case at the ICJ regrading Israel using famine as a weapon of war. Ireland can't be accused of being a Russian stooge. And now the ICJ have told Israel to allow aid through, in the necessary quantities. The UN need to enforce this.
  7. Ollie deserves to be in that squad, it is undeniable given what he has achieved this season, it’s not even arguable.
  8. Ollie is better off clear of Southgate’s last tournament, we know it won’t end well. Any decent manager coming in will know how to use him.
  9. Just so completely despicable. I would like to know what's behind this mindset, my assumption is that it's supremacy, that there is an idea that God has designated some importance over all other people. Religions should not be allowed to run nuclear armed countries. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-middle-east-68650815
  10. I have to cling on to this, I think it's quite huge that the US are saying they won't support Israel unconditionally. Of course a few thousand murders are ok by the yanks, but for that country to say enough is a turning point IMHO. And my god we have all realised just how evil Israel are, about time this is reflected by elected bodies.
  11. Let’s just buy MGW with the shirt moneys
  12. Finally a UN vote for a ceasefire has passed. Not perfect of course but these shits running Israel are on borrowed time.
  13. Not much comparison between Ashley young coming back and grealish, one of these is an athlete who looked after his body so was able to perform upon their return.
  14. Heck's done good, that extra sponsor money = stronger squad. Keep the money flowing and he can call anyone what he likes.
  15. Ollie Vs Dougie would be pretty awesome tomorrow
  16. If Grealish came back to Villa he'd be returning to a very different environment, he'd no longer be the main man. I think it'd work oddly enough, but there is of course a gaping chasm between what he costs and what he can give in return, given injuries, partying, and his changed game since Pep. Not my money...
  17. Grealish possibly being flogged in the summer - would he fit in an Emery team?
  18. I think it also worth bearing in mind that this team and manager has been in this position before, last season, on a charge to get Europe. While it's not the same situation exactly, I think that experience will stand us in good stead this time around. I wouldn't count us out of those most difficult games either, we have the ability to make lots of trouble for those ahead of us, if anything we'll regard those as free hits, pressure will be on them not us.
  19. I think the gods of the 'traditional big six' have already smited us, repeatedly and excessively, having dished out x3 ACLs and numerous other injuries that won't go away - yet here we are still in 4th. So to go down to 1ppg from here, just doesn't feel in the script. And spring is here, we've had some great springs in recent years, please McGrath let us have another.
  20. This international break could not have come at a better time. Granted McGinn will be missing for next 2, but get through Wolves, whatever against citeh, and we then should have a lot of key players back. Emery has performed a minor miracle rotating his squad out of necessity, fielding our least worst options at all times, he has totally squeaked us through this period and we remain 4th. With those players back and full of energy I expect us to see this season out and achieve our goals.
  21. Last 5 games - Spurs - 9 points Man U - 9 points Villa - 10 points League positions are stable - reasonable to think they will continue this way
  22. Such a huge point for us, come the end of the season it was easily one of the moments that goes to decide whether you get UCL or not.
