  1. Style of play is important we all want to see the team pinging the ball around nicely , but we also want to see us win or even not lose embarrassingly. When we get back playing I think we have to play 4-2-3-1 with Luiz and Nakamba holding with Grealish /McGinn and AEG behind Samatta
  2. Yes if we stay up he stays as long as Purslow etc can provide assurance next season won't be a struggle again
  3. Interesting stat in Germany 2nd last team back into Training where Frankfurt who were 2 down in under 10 mins Last team back training are Breman who play tonight worth keeping an eye out to see how they do
  4. I agree which is why I don't know why when we can't get on the ball in MF Smith leaves 3 attackers up front
  5. What Shef United have in the first place is Wilder who is a very good manager who built a squad thats stayed together and worked up the 2 leagues and into the PL In the same time we went through relegation , 2 owners and 3 managers. In Xia case we were literally just thowing money at any player who had a good record or was a name ie Terry. They built steadily and Wilder has them well coached. I think now we have tried to apply long term thinking but ironically we have now neglected the short term which is why we are where we are. Thats now also forget Shef United spent 60 mil this season as well they just didn't need to rebuilt most of the team.
  6. In Mings case thats the merry go round of transfers , Bournmouth demand that fee as they themselves are paying huge fee's Solanke was 20 mil and hadn't scored a PL goal before joining them. It's also easy to play hard ball when 1) They know we not just want but need players 2) It's well know we have rich owners In last 3 years you can argue in purchasing only McGinn we got a good deal on price wise
  7. If we stay up there is no discussion to be made We go down it will come down to what money is still about next season and if Jacks want's to push to play in the delayed Euro2020 .He couldn't get in squad in PL for us , no hope in Championship
  8. Well someone like Moutinho for 5mil is exactly what we needed
  9. Indeed and if we had come up with the majority of the squad that got us promoted we could of taken that hit on 4/5 players but we needed a full rebuild. If we had owned Mings and AEG thats 35 mil or so we wouldn't of had to spend or in todays market one Kalvin Phillips.
  10. Yeah we may have wanted both but once Bournemouth demanded so much for Mings we had to adjust. We probably offered 10 mil for Webster and walked away when they wanted 20 but say we had paid then your talking almost 50 mil on 2 cbs who had with no PL exp or very little in Mings case ..thats the madness of the PL.
  11. £20 mil for him , so with our budget he was him or Mings. If not for his history with us Delph for 7 mil in Summer would of been a good option , plenty of Exp in PL. I would have taken Mooy from Huddersfield , and loaned Harry Wilson
  12. I think its tough for teams going up to get in PL exp or even oversea's . I think Cahill was the CB we wanted but he didn't want to leave London other than him I am struggling to think of a CB that moved in Summer we could of gotten.
  13. German games have got high viewing figures so unless they get a spate of positive cases and the same here when they test can't see it not going ahead now . Pending meeting tomorrow looks like players back at training from Tuesday and restart 19th June ...
  14. Maupay as far as I have read, Brentford quoted us more than he went for so we moved for Wesley Benrahama I think is very good but again they wanted silly money and he was injured at beginning of season. Everyone knows we have 2 rich owners so you can bet they prices quoted all inflated and with no Prem exp to spend 90-100 mil on those 3 was too much and Maupay has 8 goals to Wesley 5 , with Wes not playing since Jan
  15. Them 3 would of cost us close to 100 mil that was the issue Our issue was also none of the players we let go brought in any significant fee's so it was all Net outlay and we had to Spend a significant sum just to keep Mings and AEG
  16. We could of made different signings but the issue was always going to be getting 11 players together to form a team almost from scratch unlike say Shef United or Wolves the season before you went up and added to what they already had. We also decided at in Summer not to loan players to train them up for others and pay a fee to do it as Bournmouth have done in Loaning Wilson. I think also if we hadn't had to get replacements in Jan to cover injuries we would of been able to do better business , I suspect we may have still brought in Samatta to backup/pay alongside Wesley.
  17. Ok so then if Sky etc get to screen all these games inc 3pm kick offs how the in heck to the clubs owe money back ! Also do Sky etc have the infrastructure to show all PL and Championship games ..
  18. He struggled mostly but had some good moment's , was good in his last game as where the whole team and the 3-5-2 might have brought best out of him. The mistake was not having another exp forward in squad to a) rotate with b) for him to work alongside in training. In Summer close to 100 mil was spent on 3 tall target men type strikers Jolinton /Haller/Wesley.Wesley came from the weakest league and was the cheapest and 2 less goals than the highest scoring of the 3 Haller and he has been injured since the first of Jan.In that context he has done ok.
  19. The issue really is we have the FA saying rules need to be followed then we have different leagues coming up with different rules.
  20. Yet with the same testing in Germany players don't sit on bench together and don't celebrate goals What they relize is they are getting tested multiple times when most people can't get one
  21. Doesn't look like it , our first game still scheduled to be Chelsea. Todays talk is L1 are going to expand the play offs to finish the season so the whole season doesn't have to be played , meanwhile l2 is trying to get around no relegation but restructuring with the national league to create 2 leagues , north and south

  23. Uefa have pencilled in champs league games in August .More countries are opening Thier borders for flights and we are still in May so they have given themselves enough time. The talk is the semis will be one leg at neutral venue then the final so they basically need a week to get it done in August. I am far more confident the champs league will play out than the PL Reports tonight at L1 will follow L2 in PPG but not sure of relegation ,the issue for me is there reasons are no fans and can't afford testing I don't see how either of those issues are resolved by Sept.At best of a antibodies test is released it may negate the testing fee but no fans kills them. So then you have 50% of the top 4 leagues unviable to play so that if you a Championship side now and can be sent down your facing oblivion.I think it's currently tight for the Championship to restart as well. Have to wait and see what happens Monday
  24. Goal scored player runs to corner flag , then stands there ..team mates wonder over but stay 2 mtrs away ..FFS
  25. Back to league 2 , they are ending as they can't afford to play with no fans and pay for the testing .. What happens if we ge tto August /Sept and same protocals are in place then they can't start the season , so if I'm a league one club threatened with relegation I'm going to vote for no relegation as well. Just watching the Dortmound game with no fans - spoiler alert , its crap
