  1. Tancredi Palmeri @tancredipalmeri · 13m As if Serie A wasn’t already quite a political laughing stock enough, now clubs are rebelling! Serie A clubs decided that the protocol just agreed by government and Italian FA is not good, and therefore ask new meeting to change it otherwise won’t train collectively from May 18
  2. Lot of individual errors in that one Reina should of smashed the ball out as far as he could to go out for a throw in to waste time Baston position was all over the place leaving the Spurs defender ample chance to hit it back up the field Engels should just be booting the ball away
  3. Newcastle are the same , hardly score but they have ground out a few draws and low scoring wins I'd have to check but I don't recall us winning a game this season 1-0 Newcastle are terrible to watch , they were awful against us on other hand we are good to watch but mostly as its end to end stuff as we concede so many chances as we are so open. There is some middle ground needed
  4. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-8320927/MARTIN-SAMUEL-points-game-argument-totally-flawed.html Some good analysis here from Martin Samual on PPG .
  5. I think Zatman was alluding to other fans not us saying its about avoiding relegation
  6. No they were already fading last year but we have enough other players to cover this up ..dont you recall Whelan losing the ball in the first Semi Final , Adomah then missed a pen in the shootout. Whelan is at a L1 club if only a L1 club will take him there is no chance he is up to PL level and yes Nakamba is a better option than him at this point. Trez scored a goal that took us to a final and a few minutes from beating Liverpool I doubt Adomah would have provided us much In any case what we should of done is bring in more Prem lg exp to supplement Nakamba and Trezeguet
  7. He is right about the cash aspect Thats what it comes down to in the desperation to finish , its not just us Italy ,Spain Germany the same.No games means broadcast money returned and clubs going bust or Goverments step in to bail them out.
  8. They dropped down as no one wanted them as they not good enough , Adomah is a decent championship level player at best and Whelan is 35 and in L1 now. I have seen a bit of Adomah at Forrest he was very poor , poor shooting and struggled to beat the fullback
  9. Will see what numbers are like now people are back at work , at moment it looks like its going to restart some time in June
  10. That's if they get to change whats planned to be televised , which is likely where the debate will be https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/52670775 Augsborg boss banned from game for going out to buy toothpaste
  11. So if I get this straight The main reason to play is TV ££ But the clubs apparently have to give some £ already Now the Gov are saying make game's free to air So then Sky BT are paying for something that's no longer exclusive ..
  12. If we had kept most of squad we might have been ok , see Shef United but as we had to bring in so many players we needed some tried and tested. The Drinkwater loan would indicate we relized this too late . Long term I think the players we have will mostly be fine but if we go down it will be another rebuild , so we should of brought in some instant hit / exp players.
  13. Good point , I'm getting confused with non sports subscribers Gabby on talksprt says he has spoke to players who think its been rushed and won't be back
  14. Whelan got kicked out of Hearts he was so bad this season and is currently at Fleetwood town .Adomah is at Cardiff on loan after being poor at Forrest Add those 2 to Jedinek and Hutton who have both have no club and even if we hadn't gone up we would have faced a mass culling of players for those 4 it was one last Hurrah that go us over the line What it shows though is the naivety of us not bringing in a few old heads this season other than Heaton.
  15. Sky will put them on Sky one or Sky Mix I would think Just a thought will the clubs that play music when they score do this with no fans in ground ....
  16. Conner , to me I think it's one thing to compliment your team mates another to be so in awe it all points to a team who are so reliant on on player they don't function correctly ..as we have seen It's another reason we miss McGinn because he links well with Grealish but has enough about him to take the game on himself make things happen. As for Jack we know he loves the club , watch the interview with him on the OS with him answering questions if we stay up he stays 100% he won't push to go and Purslow know his value on and off the pitch. We go down it's very tricky to keep him as the financial loss now is so much greater with a season likely with no fans in the championship and he would hope to play the Euro's next season , no chance Southgate picks him playing for us in Championship.
  17. Both in light training but miles off competitive games , if season drags out into late July maybe a chance for them but not counting on it.
  18. One issue is 3 at the back or 4 he still has 3 attackers. So many times we have been badly out manned in mf because the 2 in the middle have no support It's why I would bring McGinn back at the cost of Al Ghazi , Samatta up top Jack floating behind. With that said having that extra man to make us more solid in open play will be for nothing if we can't defend corners.Mings mark who ever his the oppositions best header - the end ,none of this over complicated floating man shit.
  19. 100% agree on the void if they where not top ..imagine United where they are 25 points clear not won league for 30 years you think they wouldn't be campaigning for a void
  20. Is that to extend training before coming back or training also pushed back
  21. They would have a different opinion if they were in our position ..we could go round in circles all day with this
  22. Exactly This is what people complaining the bottom 6 are thinking of can't seem to grasp , the season now is going to be down to things you can't control and when the consuqeunces are a loss of 100 mils then why should we fight our cause. There is no way with 3 months off , 1 full week of contact training that the first round of games is going to see injuries and unless its changed the protocols include minimal physio after games ( massages /icebaths) its going to be a mess.
  23. But its still not consistent as at the least L2 looks like they can't play EFL want 3 clubs to go up from Championship but at same time the noises come out are they want to make teams you come down take even bigger hits ( removal of parachute payments / wage cap leaving clubs who come down limited to 10k a week in wages for new players ), which I could understand if the teams going down walked the league the next season but its really not that simple
  24. Basically imagine the fitness of Drinkwater thats where every one will be when this starts
