  1. France , Italy have cancelled Serie C no relegations IIRC
  2. Serie A want to start 13th of June pending Gov Approval
  3. Smith said in remission so assumed it was cancer
  4. Duncan Wright@dwright75·3m Government guidelines for return to training make it clear any player living in household with clinically vulnerable people are NOT allowed to take part. Means some players might not be allowed back even if they want to. Right so who is the player whose Mother in Law lives with him as he now can't play
  5. Manchester Deputy Mayor reports there were over 1000 house parties / large gatherings over bank holiday weekend ...there is no way fans will not turn up at grounds
  6. Well yes that's been mentioned , the same as the push for home grounds is tied to sponsorship rather than integrity of the game
  7. This season looks a write off , I would not relegate from any league - promote and expand leagues and sort out the numerics next season Next season is 4 months away lets see where we are with the Virus then , many countries are opening up and treatments are still being assessed.I suspect they will be BCD's etc wich if the season starts like that and maintains those rules or stipulates from the start fans can re-enter at a safe point and clubs agree then that seems reasonable to me
  8. UEFA apparently back tracking on the 25th May date to confirm if leagues will start ...
  9. To start with im not buying they spend 88 seconds of close contact a game ...how long does it take to make a wall for a freekick with the ref counting the yards etc .How long to corners take ? Going further when they come out onto pitch do they have to stand 2mtrs apart in the tunnel? At the line up on the pitch ? Going in at half time ..sitting in the changing room at half time ?
  10. Latest in EFL is they can't vote on what they do until PL officially say there will be relegation , which is wierd as it was put that the FA had said relegation was a certainty games played or not..
  11. Don't worry they can practice tackling in training...... https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/52635005 ...or not ...
  12. It's safe to play https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2020/05/12/premier-league-tell-players-play-now-risk-no-football-next-year/ BUT
  13. https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2020/05/12/premier-leagueclubs-could-oppose-promotion-project-restart-goes/ This is what I was saying last night , if the Championship can't finish and PL does play then PL can turn around and say sorry no promotion ...so there is a very important meeting tomorrow with the EFL
  14. Well some study is saying the chances of catching it during the match are low https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2020/05/11/la-liga-study-shows-risk-players-spreading-coronavirus-football/ Headline being you need to be within 2mts of someone for 15 mins before contact is relevant and players only close to somone for 1.5 mins in a 90 min game
  15. Also Injuries are not only likely due to lack of training but if the reports are true about no post games massages /ice baths its going to be a mess ..its a roulette wheel On one hand we keep people fit we face teams with reserves out and stay up where as say West Ham get 5/6 injuries and play teams with full strength teams and go down.
  16. Honestly at this point you can't make any predictions Liverpool away looks tough on paper but BCD , likely won the league what team or effort will they put out ? Everton will have nothing to play for , could have players not wanting to play then the manager makes 5 subs in the game to see some of the youth players At any point you could have a game where the team loses players who test positive and that goes both ways , we get Jack , Targgett Nakamba all test positive before Palace suddenly that game looks very difficult In general there is no way of knowing how teams inc are selves will be effected by playing with no fans , teams not motivated , 5 subs etc
  17. Seems to be lower league's in all countries when suspending league are taking out relegation but the tops leagues refuse to entertain it , essentially L2 club we won't relegate you to the national league thats not fair but Prem league tough luck
  18. Wait and see what happens Wed with EFL , strong talk they want to scrape Relegation from L2 if so Greg Clarke can jog on with his no relegation from PL crap
  19. They must have been pretty pissed when Liverpool in the QF didn't send a single first team player The PL might not even be the issue for that cup , how many EFL clubs will be left standing to play next season ? The next issue is that UEFA start their new European competition the Conference league , what PL team in a congested league is going to be bothered with a cup with so little revenue return and they entry into a european competition likely to again have little revenue but weekly games at the smaller European clubs
  20. The winner of the Carabao cup gets a whopping 100k .Not going to be hard to buy clubs out of that competition for a season UEFA now talking of 3 game stages to the Nations League to try and get all the games in as they can't possibly let another cash cow take a hit I still think the lower leagues may be the ones to decide this , if the EFL don't play then despite what the FA are saying the PL can point out the EFL didn't complete season so why should full relegation take place. For me I kind of what us to play now as so sick of hearing the club being attacked for pointing out the issues with restarting and I think we can get out of it due to 1)McGinn back 2) Other clubs not putting any effort in.
  21. Ah Neutral venues now reconsidered because clubs will lose money from sponsorship not playing at home ...
  22. Looks like it going to get political ,Shadow Sports Minister has wrote to Sports Minister with 20 questions on restarting the league https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/shadow-sports-minister-proposes-20-22007227
  23. https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2020/05/10/eight-premier-league-clubs-argue-against-using-neutral-venues/ Still trying to go ahead
  24. Sports Jorno's are going with footballlers can return to ''work '' as long as guidelines in place
