Cant argue with an article that begins: The 24-year-old Kosovar winger has come to his senses and is ready to leave Bremen

a cushion for the pushin'

nah, 15 years ago I could have told some bloke in the pub this and he would have had no choice but to believe. Now, 30 seconds on a smartphone discovers your web of lies. its rubbish

somewhat incredibly, Nyland and Kalinic are both internationals for pretty decent teams, so thats got to add to their appeal.
-
So when we signing this bielsa fella then?

Think we need to reset the transfer valuations because it is obscene. Divide all transfers by a factor of ten and start again. At this rate we will see the first ever billion pound player in our lifetimes and that makes me incredibly uncomfortable

Not loving the idea of pushing Watkins wide to accommodate a new striker if I'm being honest. Kinda excited to see him play as a proper centre forward

at this point i dont even care if it is Villa he is leaving bremen for. i just want him to go somewhere so we can all get on with our lives!

The RJW63 Official Jack Grealish Appreciation Thread
TheMelvillan replied to kevangrealish's topic in Other Football
Yes it comes across like he is letting some competition winner experience a day in the life of a pro footballer. Reality is that Jack has probably borne a greater burden of both expectation and responsibility for his club than any of those players in the England setup. Those at the bigger clubs have teammates to help carry the can if they aren't playing well whereas jack has had to be the man for Aston villa for the past three years and hasn't been afforded the luxury of taking his foot off the gas or being used rotationally for their club in order to earn a rest. None of them have had to dig deep enough to keep their club in the league and few have had to battle for promotion. I think southgates problem is that he wants any success that England achieve to be a result of the England setup and tactical nous of its leadership. They want it to be a reflection of the huge sums of money they have invested in the training facilities and big wages of those at the top. NOT to be a result of some young renegade naturally phenomenal footballer who came through the Irish international system and who would have done it with or without their help -
Who's rashica?

even when he eventually lowered himself to talk about Jack in that interview he did so in the most condescending fashion - some ballix about how Jack got to see how hard they work in the england setup and the importance of positional awareness. completely unnecessary and disrespectful imho -
just sing any song with "ole" in in but replace "ole" with "ollie" at least that what ive been doing this morning to the bemusement of my wife and my dog

Big Ezri with the assist

Those England centre halfs are alright

Nah let's hope they do a fulham, rather than a wolves. But sure when have Leeds ever overstretched in the transfer market, leaving them in financial meltdown and risking their very existence?

No we cant

And what is it with interviewers asking jack shitty awkward questions in post match interviews - what need was there to ask him about the two boys getting sent home from the England camp?! -

Genuinely starting to question if I like watching football or just like watching jack playing football -

It's kinda weird to see Jack in a team where his teammates don't automatically try to get the ball to him asap. A number of times jack had been open but not received the ball and it looks plain wrong. But that's more a symptom of how villa play than anything -
Delighted. Have a really really good feeling about this signing. And come on lads, there's being tight and there's being tight with someone else's money, especially if that someone is a bazillionaire football club owning mogul. Let's just enjoy this one eh, it's not every day that your club break it's transfer record on a new hotshot striker

Goalkeeper and right back would probably have been my two least pressing positions to buy new players for at the start of this window

That's the one

Genuinely getting concened about the state of some VT'ers mental health with all the anguish I'm reading on here. A lot of the things that people are getting upset about aren't fact. They are a combination of paper talk, lies, fake itk info, speculation and personal expectation of what should have happened by now. The actual facts are that we have signed two players, lost no players and there is plenty of time left in the transfer window. Don't get upset about things that aren't fact. Focus on the truth. It'll make your lives much less stressful

It was a choice between this and having another debate on the merits of signing Callum bloody Wilson
