  1. That's an image that takes their performance from a different league and compares it to the percentiles those numbers would finish in a different league. In this instance, the Premier League. That's IF the player performs to the exact level in a different league, with a different team. The numbers are tools to get an idea of what a player can and can't do. They don't tell you "this is exactly how the player will perform in the Premier League." That's why teams have the numbers, and scouts.
  2. 51% is most. If I tell you something will happen 51% of the time, does that make it highly likely, or is it still mostly a coin flip? I would argue fewer than most 22 year olds get better. For every 22 year old that improves, there are probably five who don't. You just don't remember them because why would you?
  3. You're confusing "possible" for "very likely." Plenty of players are who they are by the time they're 22.
  4. It's difficult to compare players using raw stats when they play in different leagues, and could be asked to do different things within their team's system.
  5. June 30th is the end of the fiscal year for a lot of clubs. Don't be surprised if things really pick up after.
  6. Same with Rodrigo De Paul, but it seems he's very much available, as is Joao Felix according to some. Seems that if you're going out there and trying to score goals, Simeone doesn't want you
  7. Of the 12 teams to reach the semifinals of the UCL, UEL or UECL, four were Premier League teams. One of which finished 7th in the league, and the other 8th. It's the best league in the world by far. You're questioning the depth of the league outside the top six, how many other leagues even have a big three, let alone a big six?
  8. Is that the same link that said Osimhen had signed with Newcastle in May?
  9. Hey now! If I were to humble brag, I'd mention something along the lines of how much better Torrey Pines is in San Diego, or Pebble Beach up north. But I didn't.
  10. Actually, I've always found the golf courses in LA to be subpar. They're a lot like Los Angeles itself. They look nice, but once you get a look inside it's a mess.
  11. Napoli supporter here. I believe Lobotka is the primary reason Napoli is willing to move on Ruiz. They're both solid, but Lobotka seems to be more in line with what Spalletti wants than Fabian.
  12. Possibly, but I'm reading the tea leaves more than anything. 1. He hasn't signed a new deal even though the club wants to sign him 2. He's currently staring at Coutinho and the team's record signing in Buendia ahead of him in the spot he's best suited for. As for Nketiah, he's 23 and hasn't broken through to live up to the expectations placed on him when he was younger. I don't think his market was robust. His options seemed to be to leave for playing time at a smaller club, or take a bigger check and get the same chance to break through at Arsenal that he's already had. Carney is still 18 and has interest from Champions League clubs. If UCL clubs were interested in Nketiah, I don't think he's still with Arsenal.
  13. I've assumed Carney is gone since the news that they hadn't agreed to a new deal. These days, any player who doesn't agree to an extension and a raise before the final year of their deal is doing so because they plan to do what Boubacar Kamara did to get here.
  14. Only posting this here because he had been mentioned as a target here by multiple posters, and because we can all laugh at him praying Milan come so he doesn't have to go to Newcastle
  15. No, because that's what we already do. Digne goes forward and the midfielders cover behind. That's part of the reason McGinn had a "down season." Cash went forward, he stayed back.
  16. I think the one thing we can all agree on is the worst ITK out there is VillaReport.
  17. No idea where he'd play here unless we're completely changing the system we played under last season.
  18. Don't disagree with you, but we have no idea what Chelsea will and won't do anymore. New ownership. New people doing the deals. Marina is out.
  19. They must've changed it. American football still does standing, but I suppose it makes more sense for basketball to have them moving. Football uses it more as a measure of overall athleticism than for practical use.
  20. The "guesswork stats" are more predictive of future performance than the standard numbers. It's why they exist and why the teams use them. That said, as I mentioned earlier, I don't care what the numbers say or if Bertrand murders puppies in his sleep. As long as he scores an awesome goal once in a while, he's good with me. Every team needs the wild card capable of something magnificent once in a while. A touch of spice.
