Excellent first half, battling second half - Palace didn't have a shot on target until 80 minutes, we controlled that midfield despite their possession. I'm a believer

work rate is at least 30% high than under Deano's reign, and for once we are not overrun in midfield, the commentator saying Palace second best to Villa's Midfield, waited for years to hear that. I didn't want Gerrard, mainly due to lack of experience but now he is here I'll support him. He certainly won't get as much support as Deano when / if things go south. He's got a massive job on his hands, I do hope he can handle the pressure.
