You can pretty much make the kit now by just sticking the dafabet logo on the shirts already mocked up. Make them a bit more slim fit though. A bit more streamline.

You're right in that he seems to have done well. Here's to hoping we sign him. Lord knows we need some pace at the back. Lets hope we can put cresswell to the left of him.

I love the way people keep stating he has CL experience, as if its such a massive thing. He played shakhtar, Chelsea and someone else, twice. Our current defenders have player Arsenal, spurs, Utd, Chelsea and man city all twice and that's not including the cup. I'm all for signing this guy, but his CL experience hardly sets him apart from our current crop of defenders who have played far stronger teams on a weekly basis.

Popovs a terrific player and would be immense sitting in behind Benteke. He also skippers Bulgaria so it would be another leader in the team.

Have you actually seen him play though? You've described his performance tonight as "a blinder" despite the fact you didn't even see it. Very strange. I don't think he's always completely wank either but I actually base my opinion on games I've watched. Where did I say he had a blinder? I was being sarcastic in the post in the other thread. By all accounts he was poor tonight, I still don't think he's 'wank' or 'shit' though. He's closer to 'wank' and 'shit' though than he is 'world class' and the 'best crosser in the world'.

Fair enough. Can't say I watched the game but if you say he played well, thats a good thing for Villa. I didn't. As he went off subbed the co-commentator for the BBC said he had been "excellent" and said his communication with Whittaker (left fullback) had been good. Scotland were defending in their own half almost the entire game so, as I said before the match, there won't be many highlights at the other end. Bannan did take up a good position in the Croatian penalty area and tried a nifty volley at goal. Went wide. Strachan said in an interview after the match him and Naismith need to be starting every game. It's hard for them to just come in cold and play the 4th best international team in the world, and beat them. Fair enough, bodes well for the future then. Lets hope he can kick on from his performances for Scotland and play more of a role for us next season. Unfortunately I think Westwood is too similar to him and also a better player so it will be tough for him.

two things: A) I think we're all getting excited over the Chelsea clip. Yes, the lad looks decent but everyone can have a blinder once in a while (See Bannan vs. Croatia..). We'll probably end up with none of them. but Belhanda isn't really a winger, a CAM really but can play on the wing or deeper in midfield. For arguments sake, though, lets assume all of these bids/rumours are true. We could line up: Guzan Lowton Vlaar Okore Cresswell Westwood Sylla Popov Belhanda Tonev Benteke But yeah, you are right. Extremely unlikely we'd sign them all. Probably 1 out of the 3, using the other 2 to keep the price of the 1 we will sign down. a la bidding for Dempsey knowing full well we wouldnt get him but closing the Benteke sale. Such a good team. Realistically, might only cost around 30m to put together. If we could sell Bent for a tidy sum, its not out of the question. Can't see Belhanda joining though.
