    I still think Gallagher would be a good pick up (yeh yeh, I know, cost). Think he's played every game this season and he'd be great competition in so many positions. Won't happen I know.

    First time yesterday I properly saw his pace and strength. If Torres starts, I think you need someone quick alongside him. Carlos or Konsa can be that dude. A top class right back in the summer (I think we’ll have two new fullbacks next season) and we’ll cook.

    Exactly. I think you could look at that league every season and the top 3/4 players in the division will have a great chance of being very good players in the PL. I think Summerville and JPB will be playing in the PL next season. Wharton has been superb for Palace since signing too. I’ve been banging the drum for a while now. There is top talent in that division and those players take less time to settle than fancy overseas signings.

    He’s been great this season. He does have the niggling habit of being better from the bench than from the start quite often though. Weird.

    Can I just say as well, there is so much talent to be had in the Championship. You look at some of the high performers in the league in certain positions and there are a fair few who have spent time in the Championship. Eze, Bowen, Maddison, Gibbs-White, Olise, Grealish… Rogers, Konsa, Watkins… I don’t think we should exclusively shop there, of course not, but my god, you can pick up some fantastic talent with proper scouting in that league.

    Second best player behind Carlos today. He was fantastic. His inconsistency frustrates me, but he can be so pivotal in games. Also, denied our goal of the season by the posts. Helluva strike.
