I feel like he’s at his best when he comes on with 15 minutes left. Simply because regardless of his ability, he’s always willing to run at defenders and tired legs don’t like that. He does have decent ball control as well. I don’t rate him much at all, I’m just thinking if he’s not sold, that will be his role in the squad. He’s nowhere near at the level we need to start games.

It will be interesting to see who goes down. I don’t think there is anyone from Bournemouth we’d want but there are some good players at the other clubs. JWP, Salisu, KWP, Lavia are all good players at Southampton. Everton have Onana. Adams and Gnonto at Leeds. Palace are in trouble and they have Eze, Olise, Zaha, Guehe. Leicester and West Ham are the other two who I don’t think will drop but Maddison, KDH, Rice etc. May be some targets there depending on who goes down and cost.

Was painful watching him and Ramsey play that weird central midfield/full back role. Playing much better of late. He’s made that right mid role his.

That’s one of those challenges that ‘isn’t a red’ because it doesn’t look malicious and his foot isn’t high. But actually, it’s much, much more dangerous than a high foot. How many times do you see these scissor like challenges and the players ankle gets caught under the tackling leg? Lots. Should be a red card.

One of those that could break an ankle. It’s a really sloppy challenge. Won’t be a red but it’s really, really poor.

McGinn is playing well because he’s not been asked to play in central midfield and take the ball off the defenders in risky areas. Not rocket science.
