  1. Its crucial for the fans to make a racket tonight. give bruce plenty of "bants" Villa need to show we have a ruthless streak. I'd like a dirty win tonight. Gazi must play! and Jack. after 3 straight defeats some people would take a draw just to "stop the bleeding" however seeing sheffield united in the upper echelons on the division makes me sick to my jappa! the only amusement was watching them so happy after chucking 3 pts away against man utd at home. To me this shows serious flaws in their mentality. seeing wilder laughing and smiling with the lads on motd2 after throwing that win down the karzi. I would be very worried if I was a blade punter. at least smith looked really peed off after the liverpool debarcle. anyway enough about them its set up to be an attack against defence show tonight, just how smith likes it.
  2. Just watched Smith's toon pre match presser. Here are a few things I noticed. The jouno asking Smith questions called Steve Bruce Chris Bruce! How do these sycophants get their jobs? The audio was only coming out channel. How do these sycophant IT guys get their jobs? Smith again say's Jack Grealish is ready to play. Then he backtracked saying "oh but I've said that for the last few weeks" If super Jack doesn't play you might as well stay at home. Even McGinn isn't that super without him. I need to know before if he's playing before I walk to the station. El Gazi was this week quoted in the press saying he has a point to prove against bruce for not playing him. SMith said he doesn't want players to have personal feelings about anything.....GAZI must play! this personal agenda will give him 10% extra and could win us the game. SMiths play without emotion philosophy is flawed. hasn't he seen rocky 4?
  3. This is good news for grealish's england ambitions. Harry winks will quickly dissappear off the spurs teamsheet when Jose brings in Matic.
  4. I don't remember any games when you could say Hutton was the worst player on the pitch Hutton has had a great career and still has some mileage left for clubs to take a punt. He has/had good speed, bravery commitment, dribbling skills hard in the tackle. Played for some massive clubs, big money moves, capped many times by his country. flaws in every players game. good managers and coaches should of patched them up on the training ground and part of some poor teams in a dark era for Villa however we should remember the good times as he is a Villa man. His goal against the filthy and his great tackle on shane long are massive highlights for me. He should have the freedom of the city to drive his sheep through the queensways. However his compatriot lambert disgracfully discarded him made him train with the pups. However Hutton showed tremendous dignity and strength of character to come through the bad times and end on high note.
  5. seems to me Smith wants to make friends by "losing the right way trying to play football" rather than ruffle a few feathers. the likes of klopp and pep giving their "well meaning" commiserations to "a great club with a great stadium" makes me sick to my jappa. I'd rather big jurg was moaning like a bitch about Villa's rough house challenges and diving at the slightest of contact anyday. The timewasting should have begun right after trez's miss hit bulged the net. he could of killed a few mins by getting his studs caught in the netting after the ensuing bundle. If klop and pep give you praise. it means you've rolled over just how they like it, arse cheeks akimbo. If they're bitching and moaning it means they've lost. winners are bad losers. same with the tora tora tora line up against wolves. with a depleted team the obvious thing to do was to go and park the tram. Smith is showing all the signs of being the new tony mowbary.
  6. exactly Taylor should of started as he's quicker and good at the dark arts eg tactical fouls. also has seamus colemans leg break on his cv. adama would be well aware of this and not try any fancy stuff. Smith threw target under the bus by playing him.
  7. faster than plodder target. he's demoed his bravery many times. remember lansburys goal at elland road when Taylor won a 40:60 ball in the centre of the pitch he had no right to. one instance of many!
  8. smith got it wrong today on so many levels. We had a depleted squad therefore a cunning plan was needed to go to a strong team and get something. ie. bus parking maneuvers. We could of stolen a point if we were set up better to deal with wolfs big weapons. Taylor should of started to deal with Traore. as I've mentioned on the Neil Taylor thread. Someone should have marked the zone by the D where Neves placed the ball into the back of the net. The stat came up on the telly that neves has score a high % of his goals outside the box so What are the hell are the data analysis boys doing all week? watching Xhamster? Why is Luiz getting so much match time when he's half arsed every game? cos pep says so? To make it worse Luiz and Morares are off to brazil on a jolly now for two weeks. Smith is turning into a hands in pockets shoulder shrugging manager like evertons silva "I told the players to go out and play they're not doing it!" you can't expect a depleted team to go to wolverhampton, build from the back and pass them off the park. it's not happening any time soon
  9. Smith got it wrong today. Taylor is better equipped to handle traore than Target. Target got ripped a new one in the first half. only adama's awful delivery and concussion saved his blushes. Taylor is fast brave and knows when to make a tactical foul. Ok he's limited going forward but it's upto players like mcginn to use the ball better when they get it rather than giving it back to taylor. teammates should show for it and give him an easy ball. it's what we do at 5 a side for the crap players or the fat gits. Smith should of thought deeply about the team selection.
  10. If you have a fit jota you can keep one of gazi jota or trez on the bench. then you have some flair to bring on.
  11. Its time smith was honest with the fans. we had this last season. out for two games. then till xmas. then till jan. finally got him back in march. sick of all the bs from smith.
  12. Harsh on taylor. He did better in the one on ones than target. target was being destroyed first half. only adama's awful crossing kept us in the game. if people give taylor the ball back he's got no choice but to push up. mcginn gave him a poor ball to run on to. both wingers were so awful. neves's goal - why leave someone who can knock it free on the edge of the box? souness said the same at half time. a terrible performance. terrible subs by smith lansbury should of replaced luiz who doesn't want to be here.
  13. wasnt taylors fault. Luiz should of covered. what sort of a tackle was that? just take him down. tactical foul. game over pathetic performance 3 straight defeats. same old story smith
  14. Need to make a change now. Get lansbury in there. loosing the midfield
  15. this is pathetic. why not play with ten till half time see if target is ok? like 1 minute we only have 1 sub now. and it has to be luiz who again is not contributing. I'd get Lansbury on there. but obviously Hourihane is an option too. The wingers need to step it up aswell. especially gazi. this is a pathetic performance.
  16. Steer should have started v tottingham hotsquirts I've no problem with him coming in at all. I'd take a point right now such a weak team.
  17. It's time Villa fans stopped giving a toss about birmingham city and looked at wolfs game with the same trepidation as arsenal tottenham or manutd liverpool. for me it's the big derby. for the first time in my lifetime Villa have inspiring competition down the road instead of the david and goliath thing. If you look back at successful teams they always had strong local rivals. in 80s liverpool and everton. man city used it to fuel their dreams when they struck rich. arsenal always had tottneham snapping at their ankles. We've never had this. untill nuno took over. that season when they pissed the champ and we flapped it in the play offs hurt so bad, we were compelled to get up off our arses and go see how wolfs did it. eg get on the phone to the agent who was supplying all their class players. what happen? we got el gazi and he got the crucial goal. wolves doing well is a good thing for villa. but obviously we really need to get some sort of result today. they might have a better first 11 so it will need a tactical masterclass.
  18. I'd take a point if you'd ask me this morning. But seeing sheffield united top 5 and leicestor destroying arsenal, it's time smith gave us something. sick of waiting for something to happen this season. not one big scalp. same script every weekend plucky losers im sick of watching it. I want a dirty win. nothing less.
  19. wesley is still roughly a 1 in 3 merchant. I think he's due. I was ready to call for him to be loaned out but I saw signs against liverpool that there is some raw material to dig out of the quarry. If you can't score and you can't hold the ball up.......you've got to be a total pest, start fights with the centre halfs diego costa style. which is what he did against liverpool. He was too eager to come off tho. and when he was subbed he sprinted off instead of running the clock down with a slow amble.
  20. Maddison has brought shame on the jersey by pulling out injured and then turning up in a casino giving it the big one splashing cash in front of the fans. His inclusion is just as strange as hudson odoi Who is just another flash in the pan winger with a double step over. (ravel morrison, shaun wright phillips, trevor sinclair) Its corruption on a new level. bring back graham kelly
  21. Missing that liverpool game was crucial. If he'd played we would have won and he'd be in the squad. I would be outside Dean Smiths house revving the nuts out of my ferrari tonight. Now Jack has got to do it the hard way. Obviously Southgate is using every excuse in the book not to pick him. Why? He knows when grealish is england captin he will be the new beckham. He'll basically be running the team. The squad will be pap'd on a regular basis. Boring Southgate will be finsihed. The hard bit for Jack is getting in. putting in consistence performances takes ages the only way to do it is hit the headlines every weekend. Bend one in the top corner at old trafford. hatricks from midfield at all the london clubs. some outrageous double step over skills to mug off harry mcguire and other england defenders during prem games etc etc. Lets be honest he's only done anything against Norwich It's time to hurt the big clubs and the big players.
  22. I don't think Luiz has the same drive as Hourihane. looks like he's on easy street. maybe cos he's still young maybe he will find the fire in his belly....when he's playing for pep. Hourihane should of put his foot through it on sat. it was too close range for the keeper to smother it so wesley could of tucked away the rebound.
  23. another gripe is when he was subbed...... he ran off! This was the perfect time to throw a little tantrum "why me?" then slowly trudge off the pitch running that clock down and ensuring the points. I can't believe he didn't do this. I used to do it at school matches and give the pe teacher the wink. Another gripe: the ball boys were too efficient in returning the ball to liverpool. and the north stand lower. are we on the same side here? northstanders! you are as much to blame as gazi and kodjia. you could of run that clock down better. how can you sleep tonight?
  24. As long as we win that cup quarter final I'll let them have this one. We will have super Jack back for that.
  25. god what game were you watching? this was his best game in a claret shirt. He was like diego costa the way he went looking for fights with lovern and van dyke. he didn't get any clear chances but he certainly made his presence felt today was like a battering ram. I gave him motm. I bet van dyke is on that big red bus somewhere in the 50mph road works of the m6 throbbing all over thanks to the clattering he took from wes.
