    Our new forwards have a good record of scoring debut goals in recent times (Baros, Gabby, Bent, even Heskey pfftttt), dont know if Benteke will start or not though. Expecting good things today from Gabby, although thats when he normally disappoints. im going for 2-1 Villa today

I never saw you're reply , what im getting at is if we had a squad like citehs, cl football and prem titles in the cabinet you wouldnt want that because of the way we got there? I just want to see my team winning, competing at the highest level, we're not gonna get there any other way are we so fook it- city fans are hella more happy than villa fans, and thats what counts in being a fan surely?     I have seen us win 2 Coca Cola Cups in my time. Thats it. I want more glory than that in my lifetime, so yes it would be nice for us to get a huge cash injection. We would all love of we did a Citeh, Chelsea, PSG, Anzhi, etc. (If u say no, you're lieing). Its the only way to compete to actually win things.     Hands down our best defender since ML, and he's only 3 games into his Villa career, and we've lost 2 of those! Says alot about those in between..Dunne and Collins looked so promising too after the 09/10 season. Defo future captain, great signing

    The question is, can we be consistent now. Shame Bent wasnt more ruthless yesterday, should have won really.Its gonna take time but we're definitely heading in the right direction.     Confident Lambert will know exactly what to do with him. Irelands attitude seems alot more amicable now, he actually wants to be here now and we all know a settled, happier player is more likely to deliver than one in Irelands position over the past 2 years. Like PL has just said on why he never pursued Dempsey further, he wont have players who dont have desire to play for AVFC. And he's a big fan of Ireland so I cant forsee any problems.     Never seen the guy play but saw his interview and im optimistic about what he can do at a higher level. Crewe are well-known as having a very good academy, didnt the mancs just sign another promising youngster off their books too? Welcome our new Ashley! Lambo is getting HIS team together now.     Nice goal tonight.. If only we'd managed to get him that January we baught Heskey in (werent we joint 2nd 3pts off the top at the time after we beat pompey 1-0 for our 7th away win in a row?). We would of almost certainly finished in the top 4.
