apart from all those news articles saying hes turned down city and committed to villa? simple google search shows plenty. Theyre not going to talk about if his career is better off or it isnt because they just have noway to tell 2 days after he turned them down (or they will never be able to tell)

This 100% well overhyped player.... I thought the Wilshere love in was bad.... Sterlings love in is on a complete different level and only really started when he moved to Liverdole, the team all the papers have an absolute wankfest about all of the time. For me he will probably get a bit better than he is now, but that will still be nowhere near the "World Class" title a lot of people seem to give him, i think he is just a speed merchant, his touch is ok, shooting is dire, crossing is average. Maybe i am completely missing something but no matter how hard i look i jus dont see the hype. Of course sterling love in would have started when he moved to liverpool. He was 16 at the time. They cant exactly have a media love-in over a 15/16 year old. Has anybody said hes world class? dont think ive seen anyone say that before so so so under rated by a lot of people in this thread. So then maybe it follows that they're wrong about him having a release clause. I mean they said he was going to leave and he didn't leave. So they were wrong. Im not going to say delph is anymore loyal than he was before. There was clearly interest or contract talks went pretty far. If not, the club marketing team or w/e you call them are a joke for taking him off kit pictures and all deserved to get fired (or shouted at).

Yep this, number of media in Manc were prepared for signing and club statement/interview etc. Seemed he was up there to join but changed his mind. why is everyone saying he changed his mind? maybe city changed their mind? pretty lol how easy it is to get the whole of the fanbase back on his side with a 1 line statement. I don't think Austin is close to being a replacement for Benteke. I dont see the hype about. Hes good yes but not spectacular. A jack of many things as a forward but a master of none. We got extreeeeeemly lucky with benteke. Just hope villa fans arnt expecting someone as good to replace him. Austin will be a very good replacement. We will probably be tipped for relegation again by quite a few pundits, we cant really buy "spectacular" players. Good players is exactly what we need to buy

Why do people keep going on about the kit pictures? Who is actually looking at them apart from villa fans (even then, majority of villa fans i doubt check them)? Ive never seen anybody mention it and how "lol, aston villa had a player who was on the kit pictures..AND NOW HES NOT , smalltime!". Dont think it really makes a team look amateur or not

but he is. James MIlner/ Gareth Barry they were top class midfielders. Have to be deluded to think Delph is anywhere near that level i dont think hes average. His potential is pretty good!. We started to see it a bit more in the last 6 months. he would just fall under "quite good" for me. But he is nowhere near good enough for city.

huh how have we made a loss on him? is his wages in 6months + signing on fee greater than 8mil?

why would that annoy you? surely its a simple equation? if money earnt by selling him is greater than the increase in wages + signing on fee. its worth it?
