    Early in the season the insults were more personal. Legs have gone, fat P.O.S. etc. You would think we'd resigned Danny Drinkwater the way VT was then.

    That Liverpool game couldn't have been better placed for us imo. Our last home game of the season, Liverpool could very well be out of the title race at that point. The atmosphere will be electric. With City and Arsenal out of the way I'm very satisfied with our remaining fixtures compared to Spurs. This will be a season for the ages. We'll be talking about the "Round Badge Season" for decades to come.

    Remember how harsh we were on him at the beginning of the season. I really hate football fans sometimes.

    He dropped it because he felt he had no connection to his father's family. His father left when he was young.

    Ollie's playing for a team that has 63 points and counting in April. Benteke's goals that season helped us to 41 and without them we immediately got relegated. Those 19 goals gotta be weighted differently imo. He had to create many of them all by himself (West Brom, Liverpool, Everton away etc).

    For a club with such a long and storied history as ours I'm always surprised at the individual records of our players. A crude conclusion I can draw is that we've had good "teams" but not many stand out, world class players.

    They asked him about that and he said he hasn't even given it a thought. He doesn't care about that, and he's sure they'll bounce back. The guy is just a class act.

    Not to take away from Ollie but I still think Benteke is the better player, we have to remember Benteke was doing this for us at the age of 22 alongside the likes of Weimann, N'Zogbia and Holman. I think prime Benteke in this team under Unai's guidance would have been an absolute menace. It's a shame he joined us at our lowest. I used to be in awe of him when he was at full tilt. His LeBron celebration was so apt too, as he used to carry us on his back.

    They also have City to play and we got that out of the way. Their loss to Newcastle is equivalent to us losing at Brighton, so that's still definitely possible.

    Look at it this way, I'm sure it'll make us a lot more focused now. Don't see the same happening against Bournemouth or Chelsea now. We are locked in. It's all about grinding out a result away to Brighton imo. Hopefully we can keep our unbeaten run up against them

    Shows how important getting CL even for one season is. This huge revenue that Spurs have amassed over the past 15 years is a direct result of them finishing 4th in 2010 (notably at our expense) and establishing themselves in the made up "Big 6". We need to do something similar otherwise we'll always struggle getting our revenue up anywhere near our hopeful rivals.

    I would love to be in the CL for the spectacle of it of course, but oddly I'm more concerned with our finances and how simply being in the competition can help us to that end, hopefully in the medium term as well. I would forego all of that to win the ECL though of course.

    Sounds like West Ham are under the cosh. Hope they can hold out for a draw.

    Unai really showing faith in Rogers. Should be a huge shot of confidence for the lad. From playing against Plymouth to starting against Lille in the space of a few months.

    H150T sounds like a pickup truck model. I don't know what's been going on with the branding side of things, but they've been having a mare. I take back everything I've said about Our slow. I love our limited time only round badge now.
